AGAR, Thelma Marion (nee Bole) At age 89. Beloved wife of the late Denis Rose Agar. Predeceased by sons Denis, Herbert Agar and Heimo George Ojanen. Thelma is survived by her loving son David Edward and daughter-in-law Barbara Jean (Graham), her grandchildren Jennifer, Mary, Dean and Denis, Kenneth Agar, her great-grandson Matthew Dean and by sisters-in-law Joan Bole, Kanata, ON., Ellice Rogge, Sonoma, CA., Daphne Agar, Dominica, West Indies. A brief service followed by a get together will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday 13 May 2000 at the reception room at 2625 Regina Street, Ottawa. Gravesite family prayers in Val-d'or, Quebec. BROWN, MARION E. Marion Elizabeth Brown, 86 years of age, of Tidnish, passed away at the Highland View Regional Hospital in Amherst on Monday, May 8, 2000. She was a member of the Trinity - St. Stephen's United Church in Amherst and the Lorneville United Church. She is survived by daughters Marianne E. Yeowart (husband Phil) of Clifton Beach, Australia and Margaret Erkkila (husband John) of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, U.S.A.; sons John Ross "Jack" (wife Shirley) of Tidnish and Donald Arthur "Don" (wife Patricia) of Ottawa; two grandchildren and one great-grandson. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Ross, a sister Margaret Trenholm and a brother Jack. Memorial service will be held at the Cumberland Memorial Chapel in Amherst on Saturday, May 20, 2000 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Allan Griffin officiating. Donations to her churches or choice.

FRASER, Helen Elizabeth Ottawa, Ontario July 5, 1914 - May 3, 2000 Helen's family regret to announce her death at Queensway-Carleton Hospital, Ottawa, on Wednesday, May 3, 2000. Helen was the third and last surviving daughter of the late Robert Stewart Fraser (1867 - 1951) and his wife, Jessie Davidson Carr (1879 - 1965) formerly of Dundalk, Ontario. Helen was also predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Jean Davidson (Fraser) Porter and James Porter (1901 - 1981), formerly of Keswick, Ontario; her sister, Kathleen Stewart (Kay) Fraser (1910 - 1991), formerly of Ottawa; and her niece's husband, David Huntley (1933 - 2000). Helen will be lovingly remembered by nieces and nephew, Joyce (Porter) Huntley of Newmarket, Gerald Porter and his wife Linda Newell, of Ottawa; Helen (Porter) Rambo of Newmarket; and Patricia (Porter) MacDonald and her husband Joseph of Markham, as well as fourteen great-nieces and nephews, twelve great-great nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins in Canada, the United States and Scotland. Helen is resting at the McMillan and Jack Funeral Home in Dundalk, Ontario, where family and friends may visit On Saturday, May 13, 2000 from 2 p.m. until the service to celebrate her life at 3 p.m. Interment to take place at Ventry cemetery , Proton Township. If desired, donations may be made to The Canadian Red Cross or Oxfam-Canada.

LISSON, Ronald Robinson Passed peacefully in hospital on Monday, May 8, 2000, at age 84. Beloved husband, companion and best friend of 54 years to Muriel. He will be sadly missed by his son, James Harris, daughter-in-law, Kathryn and his grandchildren David and Karen (all of Toronto). Dear brother and brother-in-law to Jean and Edward Chaplin (of Nepean), Betty and Gerry Corkran (of New Minas, Nova Scotia) and Peggy and Lorne Adams (of Toronto) and loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews and their families. As a Captain in World War II with the 5th Canadian Armoured Regiment (8th New Brunswick Hussars (Princess Louise's) and the Halifax Rifles), he proudly served in North Africa, Italy and Holland. On returning from overseas, he graduated from McGill University in 1948. He worked for 17 years in Windsor and Oakville, Ontario in industrial relations with Ford Motor Company of Canada Ltd. and briefly thereafter in Toronto and Sarnia, Ontario. For the last 32 years, he lived in Ottawa. He retired in 1982 as the Director General of the Bureau of Management Consulting of the Federal Government. His retirement years were enriched by his friends at the Hylands Golf Club and the Main Chance Investment Group. He loved and was devoted throughout his life to his family, his work and his friends. Special thanks to Dr. Gick and her team, the home nurses and the VON, the staff of the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre and the Civic Campus of the Ottawa Hospital. A Memorial Service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2000, at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, with a reception to follow at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Sussex, New Brunswick at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
