DALE, Barbara Helen At the Pontiac Community Hospital Shawville, Quebec on Saturday, November 18, 2000 after a brief illness, aged 85 years. Beloved wife of Alwyn "Chip" Dale. Predeceased by her parents Richard and Louise Woodley and brother-in-law Cliff Dale. Loving mother of Nancy Conroy (Peter) and Steven (Amber). Devoted grandmother of Lindsay Dale. Friends may call at the W.J. Hayes & Son Funeral Home, 134 Center Street, Shawville, Quebec on Monday, November 20, 2000 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Tuesday, November 21st at 2 p.m. Interment Maple Grove cemetery. Donations to the Pontiac Community Hospital C-T scan would be appreciated.

Dearly loved grandmother of Debbie Garneau (Jim Scrivens) and Michael (Anne Prybyla). Devoted great-grandmother of Ryan, Amy and Alexandra Scrivens; Stefanie and Joanna Garneau. Sister of Mable Vacher, Pat Dennis and May Miller (Frank) and the late Frederick and Arthur. A private family service was held at Capital Memorial Gardens on Saturday, November 18, 2000. DELAHUNTY, John Patrick Well known "Softball Pitcher," Senior City League After the longest and toughest "inning" of his life, John passed away on Friday, November 17th, 2000. Left with memories to treasure are his beloved wife Connie (nee Wilkie), daughters Gail and Wendy, (pre-deceased by sons Barry and John Jr.) and their spouses David Quinton, Tony Dewan and Judi Delahunty (nee Peckham). The best grandfather a kid could ever have to Bridget, Alison and Darren Quinton; Brandy, Meghan and Seamus Dewan; and Jodi and Christopher Delahunty. Brother-in-law to Ed Wilkie and Loretta Delahunty. The youngest of nine children, John was the last living member of his immediate family. March 17th will never be the same without you! Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home 2313 Carling Ave. (west of Woodroffe) Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Monday to St. George's Church for Mass of Christian Funeral at 11 a.m.

DEVER, Gretchen (Gay) (nee Heidman) passed away on Friday, November 17, 2000, in the care of the Civic Hospital staff at the age of 89. Born November 15, 1911 in Ottawa. Graduated from the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, she spent a lifetime caring for and about others. She had a deep respect for and love of nature and took great satisfaction from a garden full of flowers which it was her pleasure to share. She especially enjoyed music, babies, animals, clouds and trees. Her faith was a constant which sustained her daily throughout her life. Gay is survived by Walter her loving husband of 61 years, her sister Isobel Read, sons John, Richard and Dan (Kitty) all of Ottawa-Carleton, her daughter Susan Nakamichi (Masaki). Grandmother to Janet, Matthew, Stephen, Jason, Jennifer, Eric, Elli, Ken and Mari and her great-grandchildren, Ashley and Briana. Predeceased by her brothers Stewart and Carl and her sister Connie Graham. We will miss her, as will her nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Memorial Visitation will be held at the Pinecrest cemetery Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) on Tuesday, November 21, 2000 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. in the Pinecrest cemetery Chapel. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Pinecrest Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to Charity of one's Choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Cole Funeral Services, 831-7122.

Beloved husband of the late Blanche Levinia Guindon. Loving father of Barbara Sarwi (Herman) of Greensboro, North Carolina, Sandra Carriere (Paul) of Kanata and Bill (Pat) of Nepean. Dear grandfather of Steven, Brant, Pamela, Shawn, Andrew and Catherine. Great-grandfather of William, Sarah Grace, and Mackenzie. Gene was predeceased by all of his family of ten. His beautiful voice will be very much missed by the residents of Perley's. Friends may call at the ALAN R.
