LEECH, M. Jean (Nee Winters) Peacefully, on Tuesday, June 13th 2000, in the 54th year of her marriage to Geoffrey B. Leech, of leukemia. Jean faced her leukemia bravely and coped courageously as it progressed. She is also survived by her beloved daughter Joan Edwards (Brian) of Toronto and by her grandchildren Sarah, Christopher and Jessica. Jean was predeceased by her parents Eva and Roy Winters and by her brother Willard Winters. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Jean's life on Saturday June 17th at 1:30 p.m. at the First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa, 30 Cleary Avenue, with a reception following. Honouring her wishes, her ashes will be scattered in the setting she chose. The family would appreciate that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to a charity of choice.
