ABRAMS, Ronald Robert Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Friday, November 26, 1999. Ron Abrams, beloved husband of Billie Ann Battams. Loving father of Dagg (Beth), Donna Laughy (Curtis), Wenda Lions, Dori Chunn (Bob), Diane Robertson (Eric). Will be sadly missed by eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Dear brother of Blyth Jones and Linda Abrams. Predeceased by one sister Ruth Abrams. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. AXFORD, Jessie Mary MacGregor (nee Gatenby) 1921-1999 Retired Registered Nurse and Midwife Peacefully died at home with much courage and dignity, November 24, 1999, in her 79th year, with both daughters at her side, following a 4 month illness due to Brain Cancer. Daughter of the late Janet and William Ernest Gatenby; wife of the late Walter Axford and cherished mother and friend of Sue and Dave Thompson, Kingston and Bette and Brent Sanderson, Camborne. Cherished and loving grandma of Colin and Nicole Thompson, Drew and Wade Sanderson and Steven Hickey. Step-mother of Doug and Joyce Axford, Greely and Norm and Allie Axford, Kingston. Step-grandma to Gerri Last, Manotick, Gill Marcellus, Greely, Wanda Dickson, Whitby, Roxanne Tizard, Surrey, B.C. and Allin Axford, Kingston. Loving cousin and friend of Evelyn Melvin, Newmarket, Dorothy and George Giebner, Orangeville and families and Bill Ingram, Halifax, N.S. Special friend to Phil Goodfellow, Marg Brooks, Marg Ferris and Jackie Donaghue, Kingston and Madge Nolan, Gananoque. We cannot express in words how much gratitude our family feels for "the very special caregivers" whom allowed us to care for our Mom and Grandma, during her last months. Your assistance permitted us to let our Mom and Grandma die peacefully, comfortably and graciously, in the comfort of her home, with family and with dignity!! We thank you!!
