EASTON, Bertha - At Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late John Easton. Loving mother of Dorothy and her husband Burten Job and Glen and his wife Peggy, all of Cambridge. Cherished grandmother of Randy (Karen), Terry (Suzanne), Gary (Wendy), Brad (Liz), Greg (Monica), Heather, Michael and 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her son, Douglas Easton. Bertha was a lifetime member and actively involved in Wesley United Church, Galt, Cambridge. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge where the family will receive friends today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel, Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999 at 11 a.m., Rev. Roy Holton officiating. Interment Mount View cemetery , Cambridge. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

ERSKINE, Robert Richmond - Suddenly, at St. Mary's Hospital, on November 26, 1999. Robert is the beloved husband of Elizabeth Erskine. Predeceased by his first wife, Ruby Erskine (nee Noel). Loving father to Scott and Cathy, Beverley, Lynn, Gail and Carol. Loving Grandpa to Mary, Laura, Cameron, Colleen, Kristy, Brent, Jennifer, Danielle, Kevin, Jennifer, Jacqueline and Jillian. Survived by his sister, Gladys and her husband Fred. Predeceased by his brother, Ronny. Robert will be sadly missed by his many friends and relatives. Friends and family may call at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener (743-8900) on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999 at 2 p.m. for a memorial service to be held in the chapel. Mr. Knutson was an employee of Lear Siegler for many years.

RUPPEL, Mrs. Lloyd - Wife of Carl Ruppel, of Palmerston, formerly of Listowel, passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, in her 80th year. Surviving besides her husband Carl, a sister, Hazel Hutton, of Hamilton; sisters-in-law, Cora and Doris; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Henry Smith and the former Mary Alberta Barnett; two sisters, Ethel Offen and Laura Frost; one brother, Lloyd. There will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. Interment Fairview cemetery , Listowel at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Listowel would be appreciated. SCHOLTES, Walter Konrad - Died peacefully, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Sunday, November 28, 1999, age 86 years, of Kitchener. He was born on February 21, 1913 in Bistritz, Romania. Father of Waldtraut and Rudi Droefke, Waldemar and Pieternella Scholtes and Hildegard and Werner Lindschinger. Lovingly remembered by his sisters, Helga Buchner of Woodstock, Edith Fejes and her husband Andras of Munich, Germany, and Erna Haydu in Romania, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends here and in Europe. Predeceased by his wife Rosina Paulina Scholtes; son Dietmar Scholtes and his wife Helene; parents, Robert and Luise; brother Edgar and brothers-in-law Mathias and Johann Tinnes and Russell Buchner. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and the Transylvania Club in Kitchener, where he was the founder and first director of the Transylvania Choir and Concert Band. He had been a long-time employee of the Waterloo Music Company as editor, arranger, composer, was active with the Waterloo Band Festivals and invented a unique system of music printing. He initiated the founding of the German-Canadian Choir Association (Deutsch-Kanadischer Saengerbund) and the organization of the first German Choir Festivals (Saengerfeste) after the Second World War. The family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Thursday December 2, 1999 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Bethel Lutheran Church on Friday December 3, 1999 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. followed by the funeral service at Bethel Lutheran Church 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. William Mundt and Pastor Fred W. Rink officiating. Following interment at St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery , Kitchener, everyone is invited for refreshments and Christian fellowship at Bethel Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to Bethel Lutheran Church, "Altenhilfe", care of the Transylvania Club or to Freeport Health Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

TADROSS, Marissa Natasha - After a brief illness, at her residence, in Toronto, on Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999. Marissa was born in Essex, England. Marissa had worked as a Reference Librarian at Sigmund Samuel Library at the University of Toronto. Marissa graduated with an honours BA in French and Linguistics from Victoria College University of Toronto in 1987. She attained her Master Degree in Library Science from the Faculty of Library and Information Systems (FLIS) from the University of Toronto. Her volunteer work included ESL lessons in Toronto, providing swimming lessons to handicapped children and excursions for the housebound elderly. Marissa is the treasured daughter of Emmanuel and Mary Tadross of Waterloo; the cherished sister of Nicholas Andrew Tadross and his wife Dana (nee Domotor) and loving aunt of Rachel Lisa. Marissa is the beloved niece of Lesley Lofts and her husband Allan of Essex, England; cousin of Christopher, Sean and Zoe. Special friends are Kenneth and Mary Hendricks of Essex, England. Family members include Mr. Steve and Bette Domotor, Steve and Leanne Domotor and their children, Steven and Olivia and Joe and Donna Domotor and their daughter Sloane. Marissa's family will receive friends at the Edward R.
