CZICHRAK - Passed away, peacefully, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Monday, January 3, 1999, Mr. Mykola "Mike" Czichrak of Tillsonburg and formerly of Mabee's Corners (RR#6 Tillsonburg) at the age of 85 years. Born in the Ukraine, May 14th, 1914 son of the late William "Bill" Czichrak and the late former Anna Duch, both of the Ukraine. Mike, with his family emigrated from the Ukraine to Canada in 1950. He was a former tobacco farmer in the R.R. #6, Tillsonburg area until his retirement in 1985. Mike is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years Rozalia ("Rose") Czichrak. Much loved father and father-in-law of Joseph and Carol Czichrak of Tillsonburg. Proud grandfather of Steve, Gregory and Carrie. Also survived by his sister Maria in the Ukraine. Predeceased by a brother Ivan and a sister Katerina, both of the Ukraine. Also predeceased by two sons Marvin in 1952 and George in 1968. Public visitation Tuesday January 4th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Verhoeve Funeral Home, Tillsonburg. Public Prayers are Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 51 Venison Street West Tillsonburg by Rev. Father Michael Langan and Rev. Father Yareslov Tabaka. Interment to follow in the Tillsonburg cemetery. Memorial donations to the St. Mary's R.C. Church Tillsonburg or the Holy Cross Ukrainian Catholic Church, St. Thomas or any charity of your choice would be appreciated by the Czichrak family and can be arranged through the Verhoeve Funeral Home, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg (519) 842-4238.

TINDALL - At Caressant Care, Bonnie Pl., St. Thomas on Sunday, January 2, 2000. Miss Beryl Tindall of St. Thomas, in her 89th year. Daughter of the late Moody and Mina (Davidson) Tindall. First cousin of Janet Curtis and Kenneth Davidson, both in California. Dear friend of Grace and the late Robert Harris of St. Thomas, Catherine James of St. Thomas and Herman and Molly VanderBelt of Belleville. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas on Wednesday afternoon from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. where the funeral and committal service will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Union cemetery. Memorial donations to the charity of one's choice gratefully acknowledged. At the request of Miss Tindall, the casket will remain closed.

MCCORQUODALE - Peacefully at the St. Thomas Elgin-General Hospital, the way she lived, with dignity, on Tuesday, January 4th, 2000, Katherine Isabel (McLachlan) McCorquodale of Belmont in her 89th year. Katie was a teacher with the Middlesex Board of Education for many years. Beloved wife of the late Colin Elliott McCorquodale (December 1986). Loving mother of Jean and her husband Jamie Buchanan of Belmont, Anne Goddard and Gordon Holland of London. Proud grandmother of Sharon and her husband Howard Pierce, Scott and Trent Goddard, all of London. Grandma Katie to Jamieson and Jenna Pierce. Predeceased by her sister Mary Fallon. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road South, London on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the complete funeral service will be held on Friday, January 7, 2000 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Kristiane Charlton officiating. Private interment Pond Mills cemetery. Donations to St. Andrew's United Church gratefully acknowledged.

KISHIMOTO - Saichiro "Sam" of R.R. 4 St. Thomas on Tuesday, January 4, 2000, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Haruko (Morishige) Kishimoto and dearly loved father of Mitchell and his wife Lidia Kishimoto of St. Thomas, Amy Kishimoto of Guelph and David and his wife Lori Kishimoto of MacComb, Michigan. Dear brother of Seikichi and his wife Tomoko Kishimoto of Union, Emiko and her husband Mike Kawabta of Union, Yuriko and her husband Bus Ohori of Toronto, Masao, Yoshiko, Fumiko, Mutsuo and Nanao Kishimoto, all of R.R. 4 St. Thomas. also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son Walter and by 2 brothers Yukichi and Haruye Kishimoto. Public visitation at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held on Friday. Interment St. Thomas cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

SPICER - John Henry of R.R. 2 Port Stanley, on Tuesday, January 4, 2000, at his late residence, as the result of an accident, in his 59th year. Beloved husband of Donna (Faulkner) Spicer and dearly loved father of Kelly Spicer and partner Rick Williams of St. Thomas, Lyle Spicer and Karen Janoska, both of St. Thomas. Dear step-father of Brad and his wife Michelle Jackson of St. Thomas, John Jackson of Fingal and Clint Jackson and partner Kolleen Fournie of Port Stanley. Loved grandfather of Ryan, Kayla, Kyle and Katie. Predeceased by 2 grandchildren Lyla and Michael. Loved son of Edith Iona (Cole) Spicer of Thamesford and the late Robert E. Spicer and dear brother of West and his wife Dorothy Spicer of Pembroke, Bob and his wife Ivey Spicer of Halifax, Lorne and his wife Rosa of Shedden, Edith and her husband Bob Manzer of Thamesford, Jerry and his wife Grace of Drumbo, Betty Patience of Embro, Marie and her husband Charles Harvey of Trail, B.C., Ruth and her husband Al Mott of Strathroy and Rick and his wife Marilyn of London. Predeceased by a sister Laurine. Also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Visitation Thursday from 7-9 and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted at the funeral home Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. by officers and members of Warren Lodge #120 A.F. and a.m. Remembrances may be made to the Lung Association, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Helene MacKenzie Trust Fund. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to John.
