Cherished husband, best friend and sweetheart of Brenda (McCormick) for over 45 years. Devoted Dad of Dennis, Windsor; Tracy and wife Eva, Kitchener; Kelly and wife MaryAnne, Pickering and the late Darren (1966). Loving son of the late Wasyl and Josefa Rekuta and the late Elymer and Eleanor McCormick. Loving brother of Sophie and Nick Platsko, Polly and Mike Koszycki, Lena and Jerry Janik, Margaret and the late Luke Rekuta and Harry and Gladys Rekuta. Merv was a kind and gentle man who will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, his cousin Michel and family and many cherished, supportive friends. Merv retired from Daimler Chrysler in 1994 after 34 1/2 years service at Plant 3. He was a retired member of CAW Local 444. Merv was an active member of Leamington United Church for many years.
