COLLINS, John Arthur – 86 – passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 20th, 2002 , at the Royal Victoria Hospital , Barrie , Ontario . John was born in England and received a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History in 1937 and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Economics in 1950, both from the London School of Economics. He and his wife Mary moved to Canada in 1949 where he went on to become Vice-President, Alcan Finances Limited. John was an avid book collector, enjoyed anything to do with steam engines and railroads, was an excellent photographer, and loved to travel. John is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Margaret Collins and Anne Collins (Donald), sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Bob Shanks, niece Mary Siteman, and nephew, Mike Shanks. Memorial Service will be held at 3,00 p.m. , Friday, January 25th, 2002 , at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, Clapperton and Worsley Streets, Barrie , Ontario . Donations in his memory can be made to the Salvation Army.

Don Jackson for 53 years and wonderful mother of Lynda (Bob Shaer), Robert (Carol), Cam (Sunny), Patti (Carl Roulston), and Andrea (Paul Bereczky). Predeceased by son David. Adored grandmother of Aaron, Nathaniel, Justin, and Jackie Shaer, Catherine and Angela Jackson, Alyx, Lauren and Jackie Roulston. Lovingly remembered by Ben Shannon, Troy and Arleen Hammond.
