He is also survived by 15 grandchildren & 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by sisters Florence James and Eva Hendrie and all of his step-brothers and sisters. Phyllis (nee Dunlop) Carwardine in her 79th year was the beloved wife of the late Jack Carwardine for 49 years. Loving mother of Jim and his wife Marie Earl of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Ellen Dietrich and her husband Ed of Waterloo and Jan Carwardine of Baden. Dear grandmother of Stephen, Scott, and Andrew. Phyllis was a dedicated and caring Special Education teacher in Sarnia until her retirement in 1986. BUSH, WILLIAM BILL CHAPMAN GEORGE BUSH, age 83 of Sarnia, died October 23, 2002 at Sarnia General Hospital. Bill served in Royal Canadian Navy during World War II from 19401945. Following the war he was an electrician at Imperial Oil prior to working at McKellar s Flowers. From 1952 1986 he was the proprietor of Flowers by Bill Bush. He was president of the Sarnia Florists Association 1965 and Chairman of the Sarnia Traffic Committee 1960. He was a member of Tuscan Lodge #437, A.F. & A.M., Sarnia Lodge of Perfection A. & A.S.R., London Sovereign Chapter Rose Croix A. & A.S.R., Moore Consistory, Hamilton, Mocha Temple Shrine A.A.O.N.M.S., Lambton Shrine Club, Royal Canadian Naval Association, Point Edward Service Club, Seaway Kiwanis, Sarnia Golf & Curling Club, active member and Past Elder of St. Paul s United Church. Bill is survived by wife Doris M. (Morrison), children Stephen and wife Jo-Anne Bush, Sarnia, Susan and husband Dr. Bill McGregor, Exeter, and Shelley and husband Kevin Brown, Sarnia, grandchildren Stephanie and Michael Bush, Scott, Brian and Janine McGregor, D Arcy, Zachary and Cary Brown. Loving mother of daughters Bonnie Carter and Gail Carter & her husband Bill Lawrence, daughter in-law Leslie Edwards. Cherished grandmother of Moira Carter. Predeceased by son Robert Pirrie Carter. Iris was an active participant in life. She was a dressmaker, made custom drapes and slipcovers, was a supply teacher at Central and SCITS and a member of Sarnia's first Artist Association. Iris was very involved in Trinity Anglican Church. Her Christian Testimony will live on in the people she touched everyday. Iris had a heart for suffering children. She will be truly missed. Brother of Norman and his wife Claudette Fillion, Timmins, Carmen and her husband Russ Cripps, Richmond Hill, and Betty Pearson, Toronto. Predeceased by his wife Dorothy Ann (Sullivan) Fillion (October 22, 1986), and siblings Jules, Maurice, Oscar, Louie, Helen, Rita. Ernie served in the Royal Canadian Air Force Military Police during World War II. He was a retiree of Imperial Oil with 44 years service as a pipefitter. Ernie was a proud life member of the 3rd degree of the Knight s of Columbus, a member of St. Vincent de Paul, the Cursillo movement, and the Sarnia Sailor s Senior A Hockey 1946-1947.
