Keiller, Albert Clarence

Date of Death: December 21st 2002
Keiller, Albert Clarence “Bus” At home, on December 21st, amidst the love of his family and the caring staff of Kelso Villa. Wonderful husband of 56 years to Kay, the former Kathryn Elizabeth Dane. He was loved and respected by his children, Nancy and her husband Larry Cumming of Eugene, Oregon, Mary Low and Brenda and her husband Kim Belton all of Owen Sound and Jeffrey of London. His quiet determination and sparkling sense of humour were a source of inspiration to his grandchildren, Chris, Katie and Andy Low, Joel Cumming and his wife Tammy and Adam, Scott and Nick Belton. He will be truly missed by his sister, Winnifred Burlington and her family and by his brother-in-law William Dane and his wife Helen and their family and several cousins. He was devoted to his special buddy “Duke” the cockatiel. Predeceased by his parents, George Binnie Keiller and Nellie Blanche Boomer, Kay’s parents Harry and Adeline Dane, brother-in-law Thomas Burlington and a niece and a nephew Susan and Michael Burlington and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at ST.ANDREW’S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH on Tuesday morning, December 24th at 10 o’clock. Interment , Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. No. 6 will a memorial service at the funeral home on Monday evening at 7 o’clock. Special thanks to caring friends, CCAC and its affiliates, St. Andrew’s, Veteran’s Affairs, Dr. George Chamberlain and the wonderful staff at Kelso Villa. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church or the Royal Canadian Legion would be appreciated.

Bos, Janna Peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound on Sunday, December 29, 2002. Janna Bos (nee Spanhak) of Owen Sound in her 77th year. Beloved wife for 50 years of Okke Bos. Dear mother of Hank Bos (Heather) of Edmonton, Alberta, Wilma (Bill Frost) of Owen Sound, Franciscus Bos (Susan) of Barrie and Catharina (Randy Warren) of Sault Ste. Marie. Lovingly remembered by her eleven grandchildren, Matthew and Emma Bos, Stephen, Eric and Jonathan Frost, Michelle and Jessica Bos, Hillary, Max, Candace and Peter Warren. Sister of Fenna. Predeceased by two sisters and one brother. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Tannahill Funeral Home on Thursday, January 2, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend George Holthof officiating. Visitation at the funeral home two hours prior to service time. Interment in Greenwood cemetery , Owen Sound. As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Arthritis Society or Timothy Christian School.

Barb Fairley of Owen Sound in her 71st year. Beloved wife of Bob Fairley. Mum of Carol and her husband Reg McCurdy of Vermont and Alison and her husband Mike Surridge of Owen Sound. Nana of Taylor Surridge, Michal, Zachary and Samuel McCurdy and Ken dra Surridge. Special Mum of John and Laurie Shortt and Mark and Jen Shortt all of Owen Sound. Auntie Florrie to Ann and Ralph Wylie and Lesley Mulhearn all of England. Predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Friday evening from 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Saturday, December 28th at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Doctor Ted Creen officiating. Cremation, Flesherton Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre Foundation.

Son-in-law of Muriel Smith of Exeter and George Smith and his wife Jan of Grand Bend. Also survived by three brothers Ron and his wife Evelyn, James and his wife Heather and Larry and his companion Alisa all of Owen Sound. Brother-in-law of Kirk Smith and his wife Cathy of Grand Bend, Susan and her husband John Summers of Ottawa and Beck and her husband Rick Regier of Cambridge. Good friend of Cindy Gardiner of Owen Sound. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Monday morning at 11 o’clock with Reverend Mary Turner officiating. Loving grandfather of Melissa and Brian Mahar, Christopher, Rebecca, Myranda and Nolan Heipel, Debbie, Bradley and Amanda Heipel, Ashlee and Alisha Heipel-Bolger and Justin Collins and great grandfather of Joshua and Erick Mahar. Also survived by three brothers Bev, Ken and Peter Heipel and a sister Lucille Bell all of Owen Sound. Fondly remembered by Pat Heipel. Predeceased by three brothers Ivan, Clifford and an infant brother, three sisters Irene, Dorothy and Eileen and his parents Ira and Violet Heipel. Helen Jeannette Irvine (nee Graham) of Owen Sound in her 63rd year. Dear mother of John Hudson, Nancy Hudson both of Owen Sound, Patricia and her husband Darryl Newbigging of Komoka, Carl Hudson of Owen Sound and Linda and her husband David Fowler of Park Head. Lovingly remembered by her four beautiful grandchildren, Darren, Michael, Jessica and Dennis. Sister of Eileen of Bothwell and Gord and his wife Faye of Flesherton. Special friend of Jim Collins. Predeceased by four brothers and one sister. A private family service will be held. Interment in Greenwood cemetery. Mother of Samuel Spencer and his wife Betty of Glasgow, Scotland and Julie Young of Victoria, B.C. She will be sadly missed by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by three daughters May, Florie and Margaret, two sons William and Duncan and two brothers Alexander and Samuel. Wife of the late Wellington Ard. Dear mother of Sharron and her husband Paul Smith of Beeton, Dennis Ard and his wife Irene of Owen Sound and Fay and her husband Rick MacLeod of Desboro. Lovingly remembered by 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Len Robb of Kenora. Predeceased by three sisters, Viola Atkins, Rose Hunter, Isabel Robb and her brother Bernie Bolton, killed in action in Korea. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Monday, December 16th at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Greenwood cemetery. Davis, Bruce John Suddenly at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Tuesday, February 4, 2003. Bruce took his final stroll down the yellow brick road hoping to finally go over the rainbow. Leaving to mourn are his beloved daughters, Brenda Davis of Barrie, Bonnie Buchanan of Owen Sound, son Bryan Davis of Toronto as well as his loved grandchildren, Teal, Amber and Dane Livingston and Natasha and Chad Buchanan. Predeceased by his parents Norman Davis (1991) and Alice Treadwell (1998). Bruce will be making a stopover at Tannahill Funeral Home, 1178 4th Avenue, West in Owen Sound where friends are invited for visitation on Thursday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Friday, February 7th at 1:30 p.m. with Doctor Brad Clark officiating. Cremation, Flesherton Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate memorial donations to Camp Oasis Canada, 226 Willowridge Court, Oakville, Ontario. L6L 5J2.

Johnston, Joyce Helen Catherine

Loved mother of Rob ert and his friend Judy of New York and Veronica and her husband Kevin Jaekel of Durham. Sadly missed by seven grandchildren. Also survived by three brothers, Bill O’Brien and his wife Daisy of Guelph, Ken Johnston of Owen Sound and Vern Johnston and his wife Marjorie of Williamsford and two sisters Pat Heipel of Owen Sound and Shirley and her husband Daniel Hebert of Bognor. She will be dearly missed by her friends and co-workers. Lovingly remembered by his six grandchildren, Marlene, Lesley, Jaclyn, Scott, Jill and Lucas. Brother of Frank Myatt, Herb Myatt and his wife Joan and Wilfred Myatt all of Owen Sound. Predeceased by his sister Doris. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Owen Sound on Wednesday, December 18th at 10:00 a.m. with visitation at the church one hour prior to service time.
