Flood, Margaret

Date of Death: July 22nd 2003

Flood, Margaret, 59 years, after a short illness on Tuesday July 22, 2003 at her home in Maidstone, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved daughter of Aileen and the late Donald Flood (1996).

Precious sister of Robert and wife Jacqui, Essex and his late wife Kathy (1995); Sister Elaine Flood, CSJ ( London ); Francis and wife Sylvia, Kingston ; James and wife Sandra, Maidstone ; Gertrude White and husband Meredith, Oldcastle; Timothy and wife Janine, Ruthven; Marilynn Scratch and husband Randy, Woodslee; Edward and wife Laurie, Essex and Randy and wife Debbie, Essex.

Sister in law to Mary Lou Thompson and husband Paul, Michigan.

Predeceased by her brother Patrick (1977).

Margaret will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 87 Maidstone Avenue East, Essex (776-4233) on Thursday 2-5 and 7-9 pm.

Family and friends will be received at St. Mary s Church, Maidstone on Friday July 25, 2003 from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Mass to celebrate Margaret s life at 10:30 am. Fr. Matthew George officiating.

Interment St. Mary s cemetery.

Parish prayers Thursday 7:00 pm.

Memorial donations made to the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.

Kennedy, Cecil John

Date of Death: April 11th 2003

Kennedy, Cecil John passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter at his side at the Leamington Nursing Home on April 11, 2003 at the age 102.

A late resident of Essex.

Beloved husband of 75 years to Helen (nee Todd) Cherished father of Nancy Johnston.

Proud grandfather to Beth and Rob, Todd and Barbara.

Dear brother to Gladys Maguire and the late Mick, Ruby Stone and the late Whitney, Murray and Dorothy Kennedy.

Predeceased by his sisters Myrtle Kennedy, Alma Lewis, Edna Seale, Lydia Snyder, Bernice Kennedy, Ferne Shaw and brothers Donald, Stewart and Sterling.

Cecil was the founder of the Essex Transportation Co. and a member of the Rotary Club of Essex.

Family and friends may gather at the Stewart L. Kennedy Funeral Home 128 Talbot St. N. Essex (776-7378) on Monday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.

Services to be held on Monday evening, Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m., and Essex Rotary Service at 8:15 p.m. Funeral service.

Online condolences may be placed at www.funeral-cast.com will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Greenhill cemetery.

Rivest, Phillip Louis

Rivest, Philip Louis, 48 years, suddenly on Friday July 18, 2003 at his residence in Essex.

Beloved husband of Hollie.

Proud father of Amie, Brandan, Matthew, all at home.

Cherished grandfather of Kadie.

Will be sadly missed by his father Alphonse of Staples.

Dear brother of Mike, Janine, Debbie, Jessy, Dave, Brian, Pete, Monique, Cecilia and John.

Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his mother Henrietta and brother Stan.

STECKLE, Donald H., passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on February 27, 2003, at Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital, Hotel-Dieu Site, at the age of 75 years.

Late of Cottam.

Beloved husband of 47 years to Mary (Clark).

Loving father to Bruce & his wife Marietta of Brantford, William & his partner Suzie of Mississauga, Peter & his wife Liliana of Cottam, and Thomas & his friend Janette of Toronto.

Proud grandfather to Ashley, Dana, Rhys, Lauren & Matthew.

Brother-in-law to Robert & Flora Clark of Leamington, and Iris Clark, wife of the late George.

Also surviving are many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Donald was a dedicated farmer for over 50 years.

Visiting at the Stewart L Kennedy Funeral Home, 128 Talbot St. N., Essex (776-7378) on Saturday from 7 - 9 pm., and Sunday from 2 - 5 pm and 7 - 9 pm.

Funeral service to be held in the funeral home on Monday, March 3, 2003 at 10:00 am.

Interment in Country Meadows cemetery , Essex.

Daughter of Vera & Norman Horn of Windsor & daughter-in-law to Sarah & the late James Phillips of Thessalon.

Loving mother to Jennifer & Brent Farough of Essex, and Jeff Munro & Shannon Brown of Guelph.

Proud grandmother to Ryan & Tyler Farough.

Dearest sister to Gord & wife Gerri Horn, Ray & wife June Horn, and sister-in-law to Jack & Pam Pokorney of Essex, Doug Phillips, Laura Tutty both of Thessalon, and Kevin & wife Tracey Phillips of Windsor.

Special grandfather to Victoria Scharff and Matthew Reid.

Loving son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Myles of Essex.

Son-in-law of Mrs. Helen Koehler and grandson of Mrs.

Alta Myles. Survived by brothers Don (Shirley) of Port Stanley, Dave of Essex, Darryl (Sue) of Gesto and sister Deb (Dale) of Bridgen of Gesto.

Doug was a dedicated member of the Essex & Port Elgin Kinsmen Clubs where he held numerous executive positions, including Deputy Governor of Zone J and President of the K-40 Club.

Visiting at the Stewart L Kennedy Funeral Home, 128 Talbot Street, N. Essex,(519-776-7378) where friends will be received on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m.
