Melick, Joyce

Date of Death: January 11th 2003

MELICK, Joyce Surrounded by her loving family at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, St. Catharines, on Saturday, January 11, 2003.

Joyce (nee Walker) Melick, in her 77th year, beloved wife of Birdsall (Bert) Melick of Canfield.

Dear mother of Robert and Val Melick of Caledonia, Bryan and Joan Melick of Dunnville, Jan and Mel Lovering of Canfield, Elaine and Bill Battle of Dunnville.

Loving grandmother to ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Dear sister of Estella Winger, Barbara and David Wase of Townsend, John and Lorna Walker of Cayuga, and sister-in-law of Mary Lee Jennings of Detroit and Joan and Jim Millard of Barry's Bay.

Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad St. E., Dunnville, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, January 14th, at 2:00 p.m.

Interment Melick cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Kidney Foundation, would be appreciated.

Neff, Ronald Herbert

Date of Death: April 14th 2003

Neff, Ronald Herbert. Peacefully went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Monday, April 14, 2003.

Ron Neff, husband of Gladys Neff (nee Putman), in his 83rd year.

Loving father of Marjorie and her husband Jim Ovenden of Fonthill, Anne and her husband John Bebbington of Hamilton and David and his wife Linda of Guelph.

Dear grandfather of Andrew, Philip and Amy Ovenden, Greg, Cheryl and Andrea Bebbington and Sarah, Katherine, Eric and Julie Neff.

Brother of Irene Hayhoe.

Predeceased by his son James, brother Elvin Neff and sister Ruth Minor.

A faithful servant of Jesus Christ, Ron served as a deacon in his church and was very involved in youth work and in Camp Oneida.

He also served his neighbour by driving for the Cancer Society (for over 15 years) and Meals on Wheels.

Friends will be received at the Ballard-Minor Funeral Home, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.

Funeral service for Ron will be held at Wainfleet Brethren-in-Christ Church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

Interment Zion cemetery.

In Ron's memory, contributions to Pioneers Canada, Wainfleet Brethren-in-Christ Church Building Fund, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or S.I.M. would be appreciated by the family.

Disher, Edith Marion

Disher, Edith Marion. At the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital , Grimsby on Saturday, April 12, 2003.

Edith Disher, wife of the late Sheldon Disher (1988), in her 91st year.

Dear Mother of Donald and his wife Helen Stoesz of Windsor, Anne and her husband Dave Sebben of Bowmanville, Joan and her husband James Meade of Scarborough and Lorraine Disher and Tony Brescia of Waterloo.

Loving grandmother of Leslie and Richard Higgs, Stacey and Joel DeSilva, Vincent Meade and Shari Kudsia, Josette, Meade, Cedric Meade, Brandon Disher and great grandchildren Matthew and Jefferey Higgs.

Predeceased by her siblings, Olive Logan, Tom Booker, Bea Page and James Booker.

Edith was a life member of the Federated Women s Institute of Ontario , Past President and 50 year member of O Reilly s Bridge W.I., an original member of the Wellandport Happy Gang , Member of the Welland County Fair Board, Past President of Perry (S.S. #9) Home and School Association and a long-standing member of Winger Church of Christ (Disciples).

Friends will be received at the Ballard Minor Funeral Home, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville on Monday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.

Funeral Service for Edith will be held at the Winger Church of Christ (Disciples) on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.

Interment Zion cemetery .

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Winger Church of Christ sound system fund would be appreciated by the family.

Humfries, Muriel Joy

Date of Death: February 25th 2003

Humfries, Muriel Joy - Entered into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville.

Muriel Humfries, wife of the late Bob Humfries (2001) in her 72nd year.

Loved mother of Pat and Dave Sparling of Prince Albert and Doug and Gwen Humfries of Toronto.

Loving grandmother of Trista, Brittany and Luke and step-grandchildren Rob and Jay.

Also survived by brothers-in-law Dave (Evelyn) of Florida and Fred (Riby) of Cayuga.

Muriel was a devout Christian, a compassionate elementary school teacher and shared in the Humfries Century farm near Cayuga.

Friends will be received at the Ballard-Minor Funeral Home, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.

Funeral service for Muriel will be held at First Baptist Church, 114 Broad Street East, Dunnville on Saturday at 11 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.

Interment Riverside cemetery , Cayuga.

Donations to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, Canadian Cancer Society or the Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
