Edith Frances Read (Davis) Retired Teacher Carleton Board of Education Peacefully at the Hospice at May Court on her 80th birthday, June 4th, 2003, Edith joins her husband, Ainslie Read and parents, Arthur and Addie Davis. She is survived by her brother, Willard, of Dunrobin and her siser, Marian Lea, and her children, Rhondda MacKay, her husband Robin, Ainslie and Joan Read of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Marian and Ndoria Ikua of Rome, Italy, Laura and Barry Desclouds of Whitby, Ontario and Colin who shared her home. She will be missed by her beloved grandchildren, Ian, Timothy, David, Blake, Matthew, Andrew, Michael, Graeme, Ikua, Shiko, Ben, Nick and Josh. Born and raised in Dunrobin, Edith embraced life as a member of a large extended family, teacher, mother, community volunteer and world traveller. She lived each day to the fullest; with her positive attitude and high personal standards, she motivated others to be all that they could be. Her unconditional love extended to numerous close friends as well as her family. Friends may call at All Saints' Anglican Church, Westboro (347 Richmond Road) on Sunday, June 8th between 3 and 5 p.m. or 7 and 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be at All Saints' on Monday, June 9th at 11 a.m. with interment at St. Paul's Dunrobinat 3:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to All Saints' Westboro or The Hospice at May Court (114 Cameron Avenue, Ottawa, K1S 0X1). Edith deeply appreciated the help, companionship and kindness offered by so many that enriched her last few months. Special thanks to Dr. Mimeault, Dr. Ian Richardson and to the staff and volunteers at The Hospice at May Court for contributing to the dignity and quality of her last days.

Rigby, Freda (nee Lee) Department of Fisheries 1950 - 1970 Peacefully at Carling view Manor, on Tuesday June 17, 2003 in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her husband William. Devoted mother of Lee (Bill Kinsman), and Bill. Grandmother to Anne and Bruce (Wendy Thomson) and great-grandmother of Kloe. Survived by her brother Edgar (Winsome) of Picton ON. Freda worked hard for her family and her church. Ross, James Percy At the Queensway-Carleton Hospital on Friday, May 23, 2003, James Percy Ross in his 87th year, dearly loved husband of Patricia, for over 60 years. Loving and loved father of Andrew, Stephen, David (passed away last year), and Gordon; father-in-law of Wanda, Noriko, Terry, and Jean. Dear Papa of Scott, Shelby, Staci, Shannon, Jonathan, and Susan. Predeceased by his brother Robert, survived by his sisters Mona Bengston, and Thelma Croskery, his sister-in-law Marge Patterson and many nieces and nephews. Percy served with the Canadian Armed Forces during WWII from September 1939 until 1945. After the war he joined the Boy Scouts of Canada working in executive positions in New Brunswick, British Columbia and Ottawa. He retired in 1981 after 13 years as Chief Executive of the Boy Scouts of Canada. Following his retirement Percy continued to be active and was employed by the Anglican Book Store at the time of his death. Throughout his life Percy was an active member of the Anglican Church. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt) on Monday from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at All Saints Anglican Church, 347 Richmond Road, Ottawa at 2 p.m. followed by interment at Pinecrest cemetery. He is survived by his beloved wife Grace Elizabeth (nee Hooper) Leggate, three sons Reverend Robert Leggate (Margaret Geddes), William Leggate (Lise Dumont), Allan Leggate (Padmini Fernando), and one daughter Myra Laffin (Barry). He leaves two sisters Bernince Collins and Lillian Armour. Sadly missed by his loving grandchildren Angela, Andrew, Rebekah, Tanya, Gregory, Kristine, Johanna and by his great-grandchildren Brandon, Victoria, Meaghan and Jocie.
