Loved father of Alice and her husband Barry Hatt, Lorna and her husband Sheldon Casemore and Patricia Burtwistle all of Owen Sound, John and his wife Barb of B.C. and Jim and his wife Carol of London. Sadly missed by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Predeceased by ten brothers and sisters. de Laplante, Margaret Peacefully at her home and surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 17, 2003. Beloved wife of Ed de Laplante and devoted mother to Neil and Julie. Dearly loved by her mother Evelyn and the late Raymond Sims of Toronto, her sister Kathleen and her husband Ian Matheson of Canmore, Alberta and her brother John Sims of Pickering. Sadly missed by Ed’s sister Mary and her husband Bryne Verhaeghe of Winnipeg, Manitoba and by her father-in-law Gerard of Peterborough. Much loved Aunt to Molly and Ben Matheson, Eryn, Rebecca and Trevor Sims and Jim, Diana and Amanda Verhaeghe. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church on Wednesday, May 21st at 10:00 a.m. Interment in St. Mary’s cemetery. Donaghey, Steven Peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound. Steven Joseph Donaghey, age 39, left this world a better place on July 19, 2003. Dearest husband and soul mate of Deb, loving father of Joe and Zach. Beloved son of Diane and her husband Jim Arthurs of London, Brian Donaghey and his wife Rosemarie of Owen Sound, Barbara Hilling of England and the late Frederick Hilling. Much loved brother of Jane, Debbie, Tim, Leah, Sarah and Joanne and Mike. Dear brother in law of Carol, David, Paul and Clyde. Special uncle to Dagen, Niall, Keast and Navrin of Lucan, Kyenne and Indica of London and Scott and Adam of England. Steve was the coach of his sons’ soccer teams and he served on the Board of Directors and the advertising committee of the Owen Sound Farmers Market. Steve touched so many hearts with his gentle ways and easy smile. He left us far too soon and will be forever missed by his family friends and all who had the good fortune of knowing him. Steve, Deb, Joe and Zach moved to Oxenden to be closer to family and to fulfill their dream of having their own business, Canterbury ’s Soapworks. It would have been Steve’s wish for the business to continue and with the help of Steve’s spirit, Deb, Joe and Zach will fulfill his wish.
