ROSS, John William passed away peacefully on January 12, 2003 at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie in his 57th year. John is survived by his loving companion Diane Brannen; his children Dave, Bobby and James Ross, his brother Joseph and sister Barbara Robb. John is also survived by Diane s children Robert and Christine Pryce and their children. John was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Jane and his older brother Thomas Jr. John was a dedicated, long time member of the Steelworkers Union, Local #30. Dear brother of George Haldenby of Echo Bay, and the late Jean (Mrs. Thomas Bier), and the late Ferris Haldenby. Brother-in-law of Rev. Walter Franklin-Hearne of Gravenhurst. Anglican Priest who served in the Dioceses of Algoma, Yukon, and Toronto. First Archdeacon of the Klondike. Served parishes of Emsdale, Little Current, Dawson City, Islington, Innisfil, Long Branch, and Newcastle, retired in 1985 and was Honourary Assistant of Trinity Church, Barrie. Service of Remembrance will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Barrie, on Saturday, November 30th, at 5:30 p.m. Interment of cremated remains at Sylvan Valley cemetery , Echo Bay, Ontario.
