Ashmore (Apr. 3, 1989), in her 85th year. Mother of Marilyn Brown and her husband Tom of Fingal and Ruth Anne Smithson and her husband Paul of R.R.#1, Simcoe. Grandmother of Kim McCaw and her husband Steve, Marcy Brown and her partner Troy Rick, all of St. Thomas, Greg Smithson and his wife Erica of St. Williams and Rob Smithson and his partner Joanne Kinchsular of Burlington. Great grandmother of Michael Smithson, Mariah McCaw, Jakob and Emma Rick. Sister of Margaret Williams and her husband Ken of St. Thomas, Ken Jones and his wife Teddi of Oshawa, late Robert Jones and late Ronald Jones. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Edna Jones of Kingston, Lillian Jones of St. Thomas, Ethel McPherson of Wallacetown and Evelyn Ashmore of R.R.#2, Port Stanley and by her many loving nieces and nephews. KRAUS - Andrew, at Parkwood Hospital, London, on Tuesday, April 17, 2001. Andrew Kraus in his 68th year, dear son of the late Andrew Kraus Sr., and Elizabeth (Wagner) Kraus. Dearly loved brother of John Kraus and his wife Susan of London, Jean Krautner and her husband Steve of London, and Fred Kraus and his wife Wanda of St. Thomas. Loved uncle to Brian Kraus and Greg Kraus and his wife Kristin of London, Ed Krautner and his wife Janis of Toronto, Debbie Penney and her husband Don of North Carolina, and great uncle to Joshua Krautner. He is also survived by his cousin George Schuster of Kitchener. The family will receive their friends at the R. E. Allen Funeral Chapel, 31 Elgin St., St. Thomas, Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be made in Elmdale Memorial Park. WAITE - Jack of St. Thomas on Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 89th year. He was married to his late wife Vera for 56 years. He had three sons, Jim and his wife Sue of St. Thomas, Bruce and his wife Susan of Orillia, and John and his friend Dorinka of London. Also he loved dearly his grandchildren Chris and Christine Waite from Barrie, David and Lisa Waite from Elora, John and Karen Waite and their children Jack and Katie from Orillia, Jeff and Missy Waite from Belleville, James and Heather Waite from Halifax, Marnie Waite and her fianc Fred Bosco from Orillia and Mike Vecchio and his daughter Marissa from St. Thomas. Jack was predeceased by his brother Doug Waite from Chatham and his sister Olive Blackwell from British Columbia. He is lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Carrie Waite, friend Ruth Teetzel and many nieces and nephews. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas until Saturday afternoon and then to Knox Presbyterian Church where celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment Elmdale cemetery. GODDARD - Leonard (July 1, 1903 - June 11, 2001). A resident of Christie Gardens Seniors Apartments, Leonard was formerly head of the Canadian Immigration Service at Pearson International Airport. Husband of the late Tina (Bayliss). He is survived by his sister Ruby Harrison, cousin Eunice Snell, nephews John Harrison (Margaret), Ralph Allen (Molly), Robert Allen (Michelle), Robert Goddard(Ann), Paul Goddard, Patrick Goddard, Sheila Clinton (Don) and great-nephews and great-nieces David, Robert and Katharine Harrison, Susan Maheux, Laurie Reaume, Michael Allen, Dana Harris, Robert Clinton (deceased), Dawn Armitage, Karilee Nadeau, Catherine and Sarah Goddard, and many great-great nieces and nephews.
