Beloved husband of Lillian (Bebbington) Greenwood and dearly loved father of Ken Greenwood of London and Captain Brian Greenwood and his wife Carolyn of Ottawa. Dearly loved grandfather of Ashley, Erin and Amy Greenwood. Dear brother of Jack Greenwood and his wife Carolyn of Toronto. Predeceased by a sister Elsie Vickerman and a brother Ernie Greenwood. Dear brother-in-law of Ernie Vickerman of St. Thomas. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Sister of Mrs. Patricia Woodford, Mrs. Aleen Mitchener, Mrs. Donna Else and her husband Raymond, all of St. Thomas, Grant Jones and his wife Patricia of Sarnia, Keith Jones and his wife Addelene of R.R. #4, St. Thomas, late Mrs. Blanche Moyer (1990), late Douglas Jones (1969) and late Frederick Jones (1990). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The funeral and committal service will be conducted at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Private interment in South Park cemetery , St. Thomas. RIPLEY - James Robert. Born and raised in St. Thomas, James Robert Ripley of Galiano Island, B.C. died in his 69th year after a long illness on August 2, 2001. He made the Canadian Forces his career, with postings in the U.S.A., Australia and Germany. He also participated in the Korean War and was an R.C.M.P. before retiring from the service and moving to Galiano Island, B.C. where he was a postmaster for 13 years. He was a war veteran with continued loyalty as an organizer of Remembrance Day services at Lion's Park of the Island. He is survived by wife Sheila, daughter Isabel, sons Jamie and Bill, and 5 grandchildren all of British Columbia. Sister Zelphia Walker of St. Thomas, Norm Ripley of Fingal, Joseph Ripley of Brampton and Andy Tayor of B.C. and many nieces and nephews also survive him. Predeceased by sister Anne Bucke and brothers Charles, Arthur and William Ripley. Cremation and interment arranged by First Memorial Funeral Service, Victoria Vancouver Island with Military memorial service at Galiano Island, B.C. on September 1, 2001.

Stuart Kilmer (Aug. 28, 1993) and dearly loved mother of Sandra and her husband John Kellestine of Port Stanley, Beverley and her husband Bill Duckworth of R.R.#4, St. Thomas, Patricia Kilmer of St. Thomas and J. Dennis and his wife Charlotte Kilmer of R.R.#7, St. Thomas. Dear sister of Adrenne Verbeem and her husband Gil of Chatham and Bertha Kilmer of R.R.#4, St. Thomas. Sadly missed by 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Beloved wife of Rose Marie (LaPrise) Wells of St. Thomas and dearly loved father of Mrs. Patricia Alward and her husband Allen of St. Thomas, Mrs. Carol Trembley and her husband Allan of Brantford and Mrs. Linda Chapman and her husband Paul of St. Thomas. Loved brother of Louise Calhoun Perry of Byron. Predeceased by brother Cecil Wells (1982). Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Jason Heffren and his wife Elisabeth, Jennifer Wilcock and her husband Oliver, Kristin, Katie, Mark Alward, Wayne Roberts and his wife Juanita and Dennis Roberts. Dearly loved great grandfather of Andrew and Rachel Heffren, Dylan Roberts and Aiden Wilcock and sadly missed by several nieces and nephews.
