Beloved husband to Elizabeth, cherished "Daddy" of Vanessa and Samuel. He will be missed by his mother Shirley and siblings David, Deborah, Denise and Anne. Jason is lovingly remembered by his extended family members and friends and colleagues. Friends and family will be received at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164Ninth Line (Dundas/403), Oakville (905-257-8822), on Friday, October 7, 2005 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Services to be held on Saturday, October 8 at 1 p.m. in the Glen Oaks Chapel. Peacefully at Humber River Regional Hospital - Finch Site on Saturday, October 8, 2005. Philip Adams, 98 years of age, dearly beloved husband of the late Marion. Dear father of Christopher and his wife Jeanne, Vivian and her husband Ted Matthews, Heather Abernethy and Ted and his wife Kath. Loving grandfather of Christopher, Michael, Sarah, Jacqueline, Melanie, Sean and Jamie. Up to his passing, Philip maintained his sharp wit, clear mind and inner strength. Resting at the NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2104 Kipling Ave., Etobicoke (two blocks north of Rexdale Blvd.) from Tuesday 2-4 p.m and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel Wednesday 11 a.m. Interment Woodland cemetery , Hamilton. Mrs. Afonso, who died at home, was predeceased by son Basilio, and is survived by: husband Lazaro; son Dom Afonso; daughter Maria Slack (Mario); grandchildren Dimitri, Adam, Daniel and Julia. ABEL, George - passed away peacefully on October12, 2005 at Tall Pines Long Term Care, Brampton, at 90 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Doreen. ADAMS, Mariea, nee Pappas - Born October 9, 1919 died December 10, 2005 after a brief illness at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, B.C. Formerly of North Delta, B.C. Mariea was an accomplished pianist and taught countless aspiring musicians (member of the B.C. Registered Music Teachers Association). Predeceased by the love of her life, Kenlay Adams. Survived and sadly missed by loving daughters Barbara, Maureen, son-in-law Howie, grandchildren Sarah, Joseph, Daniel, Benjamin, Aunt Blanche, cousins Audrey, Sydney, Larry, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins and friends. A kind and generous woman with a passion for music, gardening, travelling. Mariea's quiet strength and determined, independent spirit inspired those lucky enough to know her. ADKINS, Beverley Ann - Peacefully at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener on December 28th, 2005, Beverley Ann Catherine Adkins (nee MacLeod) of London (formerly of Sarnia) in her 74th year. Beverley was the loving mother of Catherine (Omar), David (Lynn), Paul, Margaret (Johan) and Michael (JoAnne) and proud and much loved grandmother of Adam, Zachary, Lauren, Steven, Sander, Nicholas and Jacob. She is survived by her beloved sister Rosemary Tomie of Sault Ste. Marie. Loving daughter of the late Dr. William and Catherine MacLeod of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Beverley touched many lives in many places, cultivating long lasting friendships and sharing her warmth and humour with all whom she knew. ABUSHINOV, Sava (Sam) - The family announces the peaceful passing of Sam on January 8, 2006. Hewas a great husband to Wilma, a beloved father to Greg and a cherished grandfather to Ryan and Tyler. A proud and great man, he arrived in Canada in 1951 from Yugoslavia and took great pride in his new country. His 38 years of employment at Toronto General Hospital were soon replaced with his active retirement. These years were full of travel and he obtained great pleasure in his walks and talks with his grandsons.
