MCLAUGHLIN - It is with great sadness that the family of RICHARD FRANCIS JOHN MCLAUGHLIN announces his death due to cancer, on June 5, 2003 at LGH, Palliative Care Unit. Richard was born in Sarnia on December 30, 1945. Loving brother of Nancy Philbin (Kenneth) of Camlachie and Calvin McLaughlin (Jeannette) of Wallaceburg. Also surviving are nieces and nephews; Angela Legault (Gerry), Bright's Grove, Kathleen Stinson (Eric Aslett), Victoria, B.C., Natalie Stinson (Gary Fournier), Toronto, Stanley Stinson Jr.(Lissa) Victoria, B.C. and Thomas McLaughlin (Mary), Wallaceburg. Great Uncle of Marie-Claire, Luc, and Annette Legault; Trevor and Jocelyn McLaughlin; Breanna and Austin Aslett. Predeceased by his parents, Doris Marie Dobbs, Petrolia and Vincent Mclaughlin, Courtright, his beloved grandparents Walter & Dreda McLaughlin, Sarnia, and brother-in-law Stanley Stinson Sr. (1995). Richard was employed as a driver for Sur-Way Transport, Toronto for many years and an official escort driver during the 1994 XV Commonwealth Games held in Victoria, BC. Predeceased by brothers Charles, Steve and John and sister Mary. Jeno was born in Hungary, came to Canada in July of 1957 and was the caretaker at Our Lady of Mercy Church from 1971 until 1984. PAIEMENT - At Sumac Lodge on Wednesday, June 11, 2003, ANTONIO NOE 'TONY PAIEMENT', age 87, of Sarnia. Beloved husband of Gertrude 'Gerty' (Marchand) for 61 years. Loving father of Marcel & wife Dorina, Paulette & husband John Paithouski and Dianne & husband Tom McCord. Proud grandfather of Christopher, Jennifer, Justin, Kendra, Shawn, Lisa and Derek. Cherished great grandfather of Taylor, Dakota and Nicholas. Predeceased by his five sisters & their husbands, three brothers & their wives and great grandchild Adam (2001). Tony was born June 19, 1915 in Montreal, Quebec. Raised in Northern Ontario, Tony, through his strong work ethic and sense of fair play, forged a good life for himself and his family. With little education he worked as a lumber jack, miner, farmer and hotelier leading eventually to real estate in Sarnia. Tony founded A.N. Paiement Real Estate in 1955 and for fifteen years had one of the best real estate offices in the city. At fifty-seven years of age Tony retired and for twenty-five years wintered in Florida and lived on Thomas Drive. Tony was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. and the Knights of Columbus. He will be missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends and neighbours. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 Thursday, at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N.
