Napanee, ON – It is with sadness that the family and friends of Brian Jasper Lloyd announce his passing at the age of 62. Brian resided at the Ongwanada Church Street residence since January 2008 where he received loving care and support from the staff of this wonderful organization. Brian is the eldest son of the late Jasper Lloyd and Luella (Broad) of Port Hope, ON and formerly of Bowmanville, ON and Holmesville, NB. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Roland and his wife Brenda of Bobcaygeon, ON; Terry and his wife Colleen of Pembroke, ON; Richard and his wife Karen of Grand Manan, NB; Linda Lloyd of Napanee, ON (with whom he resided); Joann Lloyd and her husband Michael Merritt of Sherwood Park, AB; and Rosemary and her husband Neilson Timmerman of Bath, NB. Brian is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his father in 1994, sister, Joyce in 1977, maternal grandfather, Harry Broad in 1992, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Cremation has taken place. A memorial graveside service is scheduled in Holmesville, NB at a later date. passed away peacefully April 14, 2012, in St. Catharines, Ontario. “Mac” was born in Sutton, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, one of four children of William and Penelope (Safford). He married Lucille (Adcock) in 1951 in Sherbrooke, Quebec and they had five children. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Lucille (St. Catharines); daughter Leah (Paul) (St. Catharines); son Jonathan (Kathy) (Guelph); daughter-in-law Julie (Napanee); sister Elizabeth (Ron Griffiths) (Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia); grandchildren Evan (Breanne), Elliott and Hannah; Emma, Jacob and Lucy; Kyle and Matthew; Samuel and Benjamin; great grandson Sawyer; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his children Gower (Julie), Julie (Michael Sloopka) and Geoffrey, and by his sisters Penelope (Jim Davidson) and Audrey (Richard Craighead). Cremation has taken place.
