While Alvin ran his contracting business, she operated the Nantyr General Store (1949 – 1961) and watched her community grow and prosper. As a real estate agent, she helped individuals make their dreams a reality in Innisfil. After Alvin ’s sudden death in 1965, she worked at Craig Hunter Poultry Farm and then at the Barrie St. Vincent de Paul Store to provide for herself and her only daughter. A proud, independent and feisty lady, she will be missed by many. Marg was proud to be a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Lefroy United Church, and the Alcona Lakeland Seniors Groups.
