Laforge - At the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, April 20, 2002. Mrs. Hilda (Hunt) LaForge of St. Thomas, in her 84th year. Born in St. Thomas, May 7, 1918, daughter of the late George and Ethel (Parry) Hunt. Loving mother of Mrs. Karen Van Liere and her husband Matthew of Aylmer and Ms. Sylvia Randall of Las Vegas, Nevada. Dear sister of Mrs. Kathleen Oakes of Hacienda Heights, California, Mrs. Gladys Colquhoun of Leamington, and Leslie “Jim” Hunt and his wife Dorothy of London. Cherished grandmother of 3 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 3 sisters, Mrs. Alice Gardner, Mrs. Doris Mickle and Mrs. Jenni Constantini and by 3 brothers, Joseph, George and Roy Hunt. The funeral service will be conducted at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, St. Thomas on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to service time. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society gratefully acknowledged.
Begg - On April 13, 2002, Miss Jeanette E. Begg, ‘96, of Fort Myers, Florida. Predeceased by sisters Miss Kathleen Begg, of Detroit, and Mrs. Bessie Irwin of St. Thomas, and a brother, Donald J. Begg also of St. Thomas. She is survived by one nieces, Mrs. Robert Lyle and one nephew, Dr. Ian Begg, both of R.R.#1, St. Thomas. Also survived by several great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at Elmdale Memorial cemetery at a later date.

Born in Malahide Township Ontario on July 5, 1919 son of the late Victor and Jessie (Shaw) Hawley. Lloyd was a salesman for Superior Propane and retired in 1985. He serviced in W.W.II in the Royal Canadian Army. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church, the Col. Talbot Br. #81 of the Royal Canadian Legion and the I.O.O.F #94 Aylmer. Perry - Sarah of Fingal, on Monday, April 22, 2002, at her late residence, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Victor Perry and dearly loved mother of Sandra Fay Thomas of Fingal. Much loved special nanny of Tracey Thomas and her husband Derek Morphy of St. Thomas, Tina and her husband David Penner of Fingal and Trude Thomas of St. Thomas and their children Elissa and Julia Pennings, Andrew and Aaron Penner and Wyatt Willimott. She was the last of her family. Sarah was a member of Fingal United Church and had lived in Canada the past 37 years and prior to that, England. A Private family funeral service will be held at Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon. Interment to follow at Fingal cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Fingal United Church. There will be no visitation.
