At Meadow Park Nursing Home, Chatham, on Thursday, May 3, 2001, Audolphus "Dolph" Dignan, age 88. Born in Forest in 1912, son of the late Catherine (Malley) and Joseph T. Dignan, he farmed in the Forest and Parkhill area for many years and was then employed by Canada Steamship Line until his retirement in 1977. He will be sadly missed by a sister, Marguerite and her husband Bill of Chatham, and by several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Mary Hinnegan and her husband Stanley, and by a brother, Thomas Dignan. Friends and relatives called at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. South. Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated on Saturday, May 5, 2001 at 11 a.m. in St. Ursula's Church. Parish prayers were said at 8 p.m. on Friday. Burial was in Beechwood cemetery , Forest, on Saturday. Donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated.

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Public General campus, on Friday, May 4, 2001, Paula Huckle, age 50, of Chatham-Kent, beloved wife of Earl Huckle. Born in Chatham in 1950, daughter of Ella Morrison and the late George Morrison. Loving mother of Frank Esch of Chatham, Tina Huckle and her companion Matthew Drew of Chatham, and Bill Huckle at home. Suriving are four grandchildren: Kandace and Josh, Jake and Chloe. Dear sister of Brenda Mulcahy and her husband Gary "Mick" of Chatham, Marlene Gardner and her husband Randy of Chatham, Yvonne Verfaillie and her husband Eugene of Chatham, Patrick Morrison of Windsor, Gordon Morrison of Chatham, Terry Morrison and his wife Alice of Chatham, and Harold Morrison and his wife Rose Marie of St. Thomas. MAZEPA:
At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Public General campus, on Friday, May 4, 2001, Zdzislaw "Mike" Mazepa, of Chatham, age 75. Beloved husband of Marie "Mary" (Malenski) Mazepa. Born in Zloczow in 1925, son of the late Anastazja and Mikolaj Mazepa, Mike came to Canada in 1945 after serving in the British 8th Army (Polish II Corps) (Monte Cassino), and retired from International Harvester after 31 years of service. Mike was a member and former president of the Polish Canadian Club in Chatham. He will be sadly missed by two sons, Richard Mazepa and his wife Jennifer of Chatham, and Stan Mazepa of Chatham. Grandfather of Elizabeth and R.J. Dear brother of Irene Tarnawska of Klodsko, Poland. He is predeceased by one brother, Dr. Ted Mazepa from Surrey-on-the-Thames, England, and one sister, Marisha Gorzelska from Warsaw, Poland.
