passed away in Ottawa, on Monday, April 16, 2012 at the age of 96. He leaves behind his wife for 66 years, Thérèse Lebel-Brunet, his children, Marie-Élisabeth (Alain Poirier), Claire-Lucie, Denyse, Pierrette (Chris Evans) and Charles-Henri (Rose Prosen), and his grandchildren Marc-Étienne, Justin, Benoît, Kristianne, Stephanie, Gabrielle, Emilie, Alexie, Magaly and Nohemy. Also survived by his sisters, Cécile and Berthe. Predeceased by his sister Aurore, brother Aimé and grandson, René. A teacher for 35 years, mostly in Sudbury, he was actively involved in the Franco-Ontarian community. Lonnie passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the age of 53. He was a tough as nails son of a gun that loved his wife Julia, his three children : Jenna, Cody, Tori and the "Boys" more than words can say. Son of Ivan and Marina. He was a long time, world expert in security at Transport Canada and previously at Privy/P.M.O. The family has chosen to celebrate his life in privacy.
