She will be sadly missed by sisters-in-law Rena Storp of Scotland, Ont. and Elaine Mattheus of Aylmer and Yvonne Vandekerckhove of Delhi. Predeceased by a son Alan Verbuyst (1965) and a brother Richard Mattheus (1963). Born in Nieuwerkercken Belgium on January 28, 1924 daughter of the late Joseph and Irma (Callebout) Mattheus. A resident of the Aylmer area since 1945, Julia was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church and the Terrace Lodge Auxiliary. She was a charter member of the Catholic Womens League. Williams - Ronald G. of St. Thomas, formerly of Southwold, on Sunday, December 22, 2002, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 75th year. Beloved husband of 57 years of Donna (Bogart) Williams and dearly loved father of Deni Vanatter of St. Thomas and the late Alan Wayne Williams (July 22, 1975). Dear brother of Stan and his wife Debbie Williams of London, Donald and his wife Dorothy Williams of Lambeth, Lois and her husband Glen Darling of London, Howard and his wife Pat Williams of St. Thomas, Grace and her husband Sandy Clark of Lambeth and the late Shirley Shore. Loved grandfather of Bradley Alan Williams of Edmonton, Susan Bennett of St. Thomas and Robin and her husband Jim Malott of Fingal. Loved Great grandfather of Jennifer Kelsey, Brian, Ashley, Stephen and Bradley Malott. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Ron was born in Delaware Township, April 6, 1928 and lived all his life in Southwold and St. Thomas. He farmed and raised horses and worked over 40 years for the Elgin Co-Operative Services. Charlton - Peacefully at Grandwood Park Retirement Residence, London on Monday December 23rd, 2002 Henrietta “Rita” (Bradish) Charlton of London, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Roscoe Douglas Charlton. Dear mother of John Charlton and wife Jane of Nepean and Catherine Charlton-Yocom and her husband John H. of Willowdale. Predeceased by her son Douglas, her 3 brothers Wheaton Bradish, Gilbert Bradish and William Bradish and her 3 sisters Mrs. Lillie Haliday, Mrs. Isabel Hughson and Mrs. Dora Blosdale. Also loved by her grandchildren Vaughan and Curtis Charlton both of Nepean. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the complete funeral service which will be conducted in the chapel of the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London on Tuesday December 24th at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Dr. Douglas H. Ross officiating. Dearly loved mother of Kathleen “Kathy” and her husband Bill Granger, Janette and her husband Jim Bill, Gordon Thompson, Betty and her husband Steve Barnhart, all of St. Thomas and the late Donald Thompson. Dear motherin-law of Karen Thompson of St. Thomas. Dear sister of Anne Boire and Frank Walter, both of Fergus, Joe Walter of Port Perry and the late John Walter. Sadly missed by 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Irene was born in Woodstock, August 11, 1930 the daughter of the late Frank and Rosina (Graff) Walter. She has lived in St. Thomas from 1967 and formerly of Toronto. She worked in Housekeeping at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, was a member of Central United Church and was a member of Maple Leaf Chapter of the Eastern Star. (Gunson) Anger of St. Thomas, wife of the late H.R. “Pete” Anger (1962), in her 85th year. Born in Liverpool, England, December 24, 1917, daughter of the late Herbert and Daisy (Dodd) Gunson. Mother of Warren Anger and Allan Anger, both of St. Thomas and the late Thomas Anger (1986). Grandmother of Brenda, Connie, Butch, Martin, Jamie, Peter, Bonnie, Heather and Susie. Sister of Ron Gunson of St. Stevensville, NF, late Millie Barker and late Len Gunson, Also survived by a number of great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A daughter-inlaw, Shirley Anger died in 1996. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park, St. Thomas.

Dearly loved mother of Michael Lewis of London, Mark and his wife Christine Lewis of Angus and Greg Lewis of St. Thomas. Loved grandmother of Zackary Lewis. Dear sister of Annie and her husband Robert Guy of Ancaster, Christine and her husband Wayne Springman of Cambridge and Josephine and her husband Joe Dalrymple of Midale, Saskatchewan. Denise was a member of Holy Angels’ Church and had operated Holland Flowers with her family. Hankinson - Peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, December 18, 2002. Erie Olivia Hankinson of Terrace Lodge, Aylmer in her 92nd year. Erie is survived by nephews John Ingram and wife Margaret of Aylmer, Lewis Ingram and wife Norma of Aylmer, Clifton Ingram and wife Joan of London and by nieces Sandra Brunton and husband Tom of Aylmer and Doreen Dandurand of Ottawa. Predeceased by two brothers; Borden and Edwin Hankinson and a half brother William Ingram and one sister Eva Hankinson. Erie was born in Malahide Township on March 8, 1911 to the late William and Adelaide (Haggen) Hankinson. She was a life long resident of Malahide Twp. until moving to Aylmer in 1994.
