Norman George (Norm) Pascoe
Of Ottawa and formerly Montreal, passed away in Ottawa on Saturday April 8th, 2006 at the age of 76, after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his wife Marina, son Russell and two sisters, Irene (Dr. Charles Bird) of Kingston, Beverly of Knowlton, Quebec and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired Transport Canada Public Affairs. Owner, Norm Pascoe Associates. Served many years as a journalist with The Montreal Star. Lt-Cdr, CD, ret’d, Royal Canadian Naval Reserve. Life-long member of Scouts Canada, mainly as a youth leader. Honorary Life Member of the RCMP Curling Club with many devoted to instructing and coaching youth curlers. Marshal of Pine View Golf Course. Norm was a long-time resident of Manor Park. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Wednesday, April 12th 2006 from 11:30am until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1pm. Ron will always be remembered for his kind heart and his generous spirit which was represented through his volunteer work at The Canadian Red Cross and his active involvement at The Life Centre. Dear brother of Emily Heculuck of North Bay, Kenneth Shoultz (Doris) of Ottawa and Marguerite Young (John) of St. Catharine’s. Predeceased by brother Murray. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. John will be dearly missed by Anita Guerin and her sons Stephen and Isaac. John was a proud volunteer for many years at the Shepherd’s of Good Hope. Loving brother of Wesley and predeceased by Clarence, Gladys, Ernest, Bertha, Margaret and Victor. Albert will be missed by many friends. Al served in World War II as a Radar Operator with the RCAF; 43 years of faithful service with The Mutual Life of Canada.
