LEMANG - Daily Patriot Tues., 28 Jan., 1902, page 8
Billy Lemang is no more.
This morning the summons came and he passed from the tribulations of earth.
No more shall we see his familiar form on the streets nor hear his pathetic appeal "gimme a cent".
The light of reason had not been vouchsafed to poor Billy, but he was happy.
He knew not the value of money.
A quarter had the same meaning as the cent he was always after.
To him knowledge came not, and wisdom lingered, but what cared he.
His wants were all the fewer in consequence.

Mrs. Peter (McCarron) McQuaid - Saturday evening, June 15 (1935), at Charlottetown, PEI, the beautiful spirit of Mrs. Peter McQuaid passed to its eternal reward and left behind a family of sorrowing sons and daughters.
On Tuesday, June 11, about 11:30 p.m., the late Mrs. McQuaid was stricken with a severe heart attack and her loved ones feared her death would be sudden, but God, in His infinite mercy, ordained otherwise, and spared her until the above date.
She died a happy and peaceful death amidst the prayers of those near and dear to her.
Of a quiet and retiring disposition, the late Mrs. McQuaid was loved deeply by her family, each member of which listened with rapt attention and devotion to her instruction and wisdom.
She did not speak of things temporal, but of the wonderful things beyond this life, and instilled into the hearts of her children the obligations owing the Creator.
Her death has caused a great loneliness in a happy family; a void impossible to fill.
She was a devout member of the Catholic church, and at one time was a member of St. Dunstan's choir, under the direction of Professor Caven.
She cherished its teachings with an unalterable love.
Hers was a life of happiness, peace and devotion to Christian principles.
She leaves to mourn the following sons and daughters: viz: Rev. Mother St. Elizabeth of the visitation, St. Joseph's Convent, city; Rev. Patrick W. McQuaid, Leduc, Alta; Mrs F. E. Murphy, Emerald Junction, PEI; Mrs. Roland Coady, St Avards; and at home; Peter, Anges, John, Philip, Vincent and Bessie. On July 28, 1943 he married Florence Tremere of Hampshire who predeceased him in 1974. Their home was always welcoming. They hosted many community crokinole and card parties.
Cyrus was a carpenter by trade and there are many beautiful kitchens that attest to his skill. He was also known as a Mr-Fix-it.
He enjoyed a "good chat" and liked nothing better than to play a harmless trick on someone. Although in failing health for several years, he enjoyed visits of friends and family.
