SONIER - The death occurred Sunday December 21, 1975 of Bray Robert Lee Sonier at the Prince County Hospital, age 22.
He was born in Summerside, P.E.I., son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Sonier.
Surviving are 5 sisters Helen (Mrs. Robert Guy) Toronto, Catherine (Mrs. James Puddifant) Dartmouth N.S., Dorothy (Mrs. James Hancock) Wolfville, N.S., Kookie (Mrs. Frank Jones) Westville, N.S.; Barbara (Mrs. Earl McConkey) Edmonton, Alberta.
Four brothers: Joe and Ralph, Toronto, Ontario; Micky and Jules at home.
The service was held Tuesday, December 22 at St. Paul's Church with interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, P.E.I.

GALLANT, AMOS P. - Vital Statistics - Death - The Guardian, Charlottetown, PEI.
The death occurred peacefully at Whisperwood Villa on October 27, 1999 of Amos P. Gallant, long time resident of South Rustico, PEI in his 95th year.
Predeceased by his loving wife, Edna (nee Buote); infant son, Richard; and grandson, Jimmy Burchell, he leaves to mourn a family of 12 children: Helen, (Charles) MacInnis, Charlottetown, Marie Burchell, Vancouver, BC, George (Fannie) South Rustico, Marina (Bill) Murphy, Moncton, NB, Olive (Alfred Gauthier) Rusticoville, PEI, Alyre (Marthe), Shawinigan, Quebec; Frances, (Basil) Gillan, Hanover, Mass. USA; Lorraine, (Tilmon) Gallant, Charlottetown, Lorna (Maurice) St. Jules, Charlottetown; John (Ferne) Truro, NS; Audrey (Howie) Jamieson, Winsloe; and Charles (Carol Ann) Bedford, NS; also sister-in-law, Mary (Fabian) Deagle.
He will also be lovingly remembered by 39 grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Remains are resting at St. Monica's Chapel, St. Augustine's Church in South Rustico.
Visiting hours Friday 2-4, And 7-9 pm.
Interment to follow in church cemetery.

Richard - March 11, 1948, Summerside Journal Pioneer. Death today of Mr. Benjamin Richard.
The death occurred at his home in Summerside this morning of Mr. Benjamin Richard, aged 72 yrs. after an illness of four weeks.
Mr. Richard was a well-known fisherman, but had not been actively engaged at his calling for the past few years.
He leaves to mourn three sons and three daughters.
Namely Owen Richard, Bath, Maine; William and Ben in Sumerside; Mrs. John Berwick (Agnes) in Kitchner, Ontario; Mrs. Peter Sonier (Anne) and Mrs. John Grady (Jane), both of Summerside.
Also a brother, Onesime in Rogersville, New Brunswick; a sister, Mrs. Charles Veno, Wilmont Valley P.E.I. The funeral will be held from the home of his daughter, St.Lawrence Street on Saturday morning to St.Paul's Church and cemetery.
WILLIAM AXWORTHY - Died at the Empire Hospital, Winnipeg, on Jan. 9, 1923, William Axworthy, age 26, son of the late William Axworthy of Wheatly River and returned a soldier.
His remains arrived home on Jan 18, and were laid to rest in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Rustico, Rev. Father Chaisson officiating.
He leaves to mourn two brothers, George on the old homestead and Herbert who accompanied the remains home.
There is also left to mourn a step-mother and five sisters.
The pallbearers were: Richard Stead, Howard MacKay, John Chandler, T.D. Ling, Sylvester Martin and Peter Locke. R.I.P.
MR. CHARLES MALONE - There passed away in the Prince Edward Island Hospital May 2, 1944, Mr. Charles Malone in his 51st year.
He was an employee of the City of Charlottetown for the past number of years.
Two years ago he accidentally had his leg badly broken and on this account was obliged to discontinue his work and has been in failing health ever since.
His kind and generous disposition won him many friends who sincerely sympathize with those who are left to mourn.
He leaves behind him his wife and two daughters, Hazel and Olive, also his mother and sister Mrs. Baden Powell, both of Sydney, NS., and Mrs. Sampson Walsh of Tryon, PEI.
Another sister predeceased him over two years ago.
His funeral was held from his late residence on Saturday, May 6.
Rev. Ronald Noble conducted the service assisted by the Rev. G. Carlyle Webster.
The Canadian Legion and city employees marched in procession.
The pallbearers were Messrs. R. T. White, Robert Diamond, Wm. Cassford, Joseph Curley, Jas. O'Brien and Councillor B. Earle MacDonald.
MRS. MYRTLE COBB - There passed away at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, May 7, 1976, Mrs. Myrtle Cobb, widow of the late Frank W. Cobb, of Kensington, after a short illness.
Mrs. Cobb, 84, formerly Myrtle Mae Fielding, was the daughter of William and Julie (Scott) Fielding of Mountain Grove, Missouri. The early years of her life were spent in the Western States and in Western Canada where she met her husband, Frank Cobb of Crapaud, P.E.I. Mr. and Mrs. Cobb lived in Diamond City, Alberta, until 1917 when they returned to Mount Tryon, P.E.I. where they farmed. They later moved to Kensington where Mrs. Cobb made her home until 1973 when she moved to Summerset Manor, Summerside.
Cherishing her memory of a loving mother are four daughters and three sons: Beatrice (Mrs. Harvey MacRae, Calgary); Frances (Mrs. Lloyd Walsh, Albany); Rhoda (Mrs. Walter Bernard, Lower Freetown); Ralph (New London); Heath (Toronto); Tom (Kensington); and Eileen (Mrs. Don Clark, Kensington).
She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.
The largely attended funeral service was held from Crapaud Gospel Hall, conducted by Rev. G. A. Ramsay, and assisted by Davis Jewell.
The hymns sung were, 'When We Reach Our Peaceful Dwelling', and 'When This Passing World is Done'.
Pallbearers were: Gordon Millar, Allison Walsh, Samuel Walsh, Donald Cobb, Garth Cobb, and Walter Clark, all grandsons of Mrs. Cobb.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Mr. J. L. Davison, Kensington.
Interment took place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens where her remains were laid to rest in the family plot next to her husband who predeceased her twelve years ago.
POLLARD - At North Wiltshire on Wednesday, May 10, 1944 Charles Pollard aged 80 years.
Funeral from North Wiltshire United Church tomorrow (Friday) service starting at 2 o'clock.
Interment in North Wiltshire cemetery.
Joan Shirley Rogers (Waddell) - Family and friends were deeply saddened by the passing of Joan S. Rogers of Albany, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, PEI on August 7, 1991 at the age of 39 years.
Born in Albany on April 7, 1952 she moved with her parents, Melvin and Myrtle Waddell and her three sisters, Jean, Carol and Barbie to Carleton Siding, PEI in 1972.
Joan attended Albany Village School, Athena High School, Summerside, PEI, and completed her education at the University of PEI.
During her education at UPEI, she was employed at Marine Atlantic Inc., Borden, PEI, before making Marine Atlantic, Inc., her carreer for the last 17 years.
On June 2, 1973 Joan married Donald Howard Rogers of Carleton Siding, she and her husband resided in Central Bedeque until 1977 before moving to Albany.
Joan & Donnie had three children, Donald Kyle, Michael Howard and an infant daughter Katelyn Joan, who predeceased her on September 28, 1988.
Left to remember and cherish her memory are her husband, Donnie and two children Kyle, Michael at home; her parents Myrtle & Melvin Waddell of Carleton Siding; three sisters, Jean Walsh of Carleton Siding; Carol Dugay and her husband Morgan of Carleton Siding; and Barbie Postman and her husband Martin of Newtown, PEI; grandparents Frances Walsh, Borden and Wilbur Waddell, Crapaud, PEI; also, a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly.
The funeral for Joan S. Rogers was held on Friday, August 9, 1991 from the Dawson Funeral Home, Crapaud to the North Tryon Presbyterian Church where funeral service was conducted at 2pm by Rev. Donald Nicholson.
“Farther Along” was rendered by soloist, Ann Leard, accompanied on the piano by Susan Mackay. The church choir with the congregation sang, accompanied by David Waddell the organist, “The Lord Is My Shepherd” and “This World Is Not My Home”.
All hymns were personally chosen by the deceased. Honorary pallbearers were Donna Cox, Sheila McLure, J.C. Godin, Gary Hubbard, Doug Howatt, John Daigle, Grant Keough, Dwight Vessey, Ronnie Richard and Eldon Murphy. Active pallbearers were Alan Waddell, Barry Malone, Doug Waddell, Kingsley Walsh, Davis Rogers and Sam Walsh. Flowerbearers were Pauline Waddell, Karen Noonan, Alison Malone, Diane Martin, Ann Marie Walsh and Beverley Noonan.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Among those attending the funeral were representatives of Marine Atlantic, Inc., CN International NB/PEI, PEI Trucker’s Association, Consolidated Credit Union, Borden Ladies Softball team, Galaxy of West Lincoln Ltd., Albany Cartage PEI/NS, Mid Isle Farms Inc. and Bank of Nova Scotia, Albany. A message of sympathy was received from David and Cathy MacKenzie and family, was read by Wyman Waddell, because they were unable to attend.
SMITH - At the Prince Edward Island Hospital on Oct 18, 1944 Brenton A. Smith, 348 Euston St, in his 58th year.
Remains are resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home.
ADA (WALSH) SEXTON - At the Charlottetown Hospital on Monday, Sept 16, 1963, Mrs. Ada Sexton, in her 52nd year.
Remains have been transferred from the Monaghan Funeral Home to her late residence in Borden, from where the funeral will be held on Thursday, Sept 19, leaving the house at 9am for requiem High Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Borden.
Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Seven Mile Bay
