The death occurred at the Souris Hospital, Souris, PEI, Jan. 21, 2000, of Edgar Francis Jenkins of Souris River Rd. and formerly of East Bay, aged 77 years.
Beloved husband of Geraldine Jenkins and loving father of David (Alvina), Sydney, Fran (Tommy), Sydney, Millie (Richard), Souris River Rd., PEI, Anna (Theo), Souris River Rd. and Lorraine, Souris, PEI.
He was a veteran of the Second World War.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home, Souris, PEI for visiting hours Monday 2-4, 7-9 p.m.
Funeral Tuesday afternoon from the Annandale United Church, PEI, at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
Herbert A. MacLeod
86, Arlington, Mass.
Herbert A. MacLeod, 86, of Arlington, Mass., U.S.A., died Saturday, April 15, 2000, in Massachusetts.
He was the son of the late Archie MacLeod, formerly of River Denys, NS and the late Effie (MacLeod) MacLeod, formerly of Sterling, Cape Breton.
He lived most of his life in Massachusetts, U.S.A.
He is survived by nine children; several grandchildren and one great grandchild; brothers, Donald and John, both of Massachusetts, U.S.A. and by several cousins in the Cape Breton area.
Funeral and burial services will be held in P.E.I., Friday, April 28, 2000, in St. Columba Church, Campbell's Cove, P.E.I. at 2 p.m.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Cape Breton Gaelic Society or to St. Ann's Gaelic College.

Sister Catherine Rooney, CND (Sr. St. Philip of the Savior), 89, died peacefully at Notre Dame Convent, Charlottetown, on Monday, Oct. 4, 1999.
Predeceased by three sisters, Mary, Sister Eileen, RSM and Rose; also by 10 brothers, Philip, Dennis, Fr. Alphonse, Fr. Joseph, Fr. Patrick, Fr. James, Fr. Eugene, Michael, William and Francis; sister-in-law, Dorothy Rooney and dear aunt of many loving nieces and nephews.
Resting at Notre Dame Convent, 246 Sydney St., with visitation Tuesday, Oct. 5, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy at St. Dunstan’s Basilica, Charlottetown, Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 10 a.m.
Interment in the Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.

The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, P.E.I., on Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, of Mary Eleanor (Ella) Gosse, wife of the late Garfield Gosse, formerly of Sydney, N.S., in her 75th year.
She is survived by her son, Don (Sharon); daughter, Gloria (Blair) Banks; grandchildren, Shayne and Scott Gosse and Gordon MacDonald; step-grandchildren, Sherry (Allan) Sonier, Russell (Debbie) Banks, and Patrick Banks and five great-grandchildren.
Her remains have been transferred from Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford, P.E.I. to T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, 775 George St., Sydney, for visitation Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral will be held Monday, Nov. 22 at Christ Church, Sydney at 2 p.m.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Glace Bay.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Mary’s Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.

Survived by brothers Kenny (Violet), Gordie (Mary), and sister Patsy (Carmen) Morrison, all of Sydney, N.S.
Son of the late Bessie and Jack Manning.
