Special appreciation to Cyril’s care-giving team, headed by Hector. In his career, Cyril was a Vice President of Reitman’s Canada Limited, and served on its Board of Directors until he retired. KOVAC, Milan. On Sunday, June 22, 2014, at the age of fifty-three. Beloved brother of Monica. Loving son of the late Aljbeta Fendrich Kovac and the late Mikulas Kovac. As much as he might well dispute it, Milan had a remarkable energy for life, and possessed a brilliant, creative mind. A brave critical thinker with endless curiosity, he had a passionate thirst for knowledge that lasted until the very end; he never stopped asking questions. He was the rare person who could remain a true and loyal friend, through any adversity. Milan had a great interest in animals and the natural world. He was quite at home hiking and camping in the woods and loved documentaries about nature. Milan delighted all of the people who loved him, and who engaged him, with his humour, generosity of spirit, honesty and kindness. Right now we're left with a void that cannot be filled, but we hope that his memory will, in time, fill us with wisdom and joy as we move forward on the rest of our own journeys. Heartfelt thanks go out to the extraordinary, loving staff at the Montreal General Hospital, Care Unit E10, and to Andrew who made a special trip to help comfort Milan on his last evening.
