Cherished Grandpa of Max, Anna, Rose, Iris, and Mark. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Dorothy and Marvin Riback, the late Louis and the late Doris Gottheil. WASERMAN, Rachel (née Kurant). With incredible courage and dignity, on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Beloved wife of Zwi for over sixty-four years; both Holocaust survivors. Adored and treasured mother and mother-in-law of Jack and Sue, and Elan. Loving Bubby of Jessica and Alex, Sam and Andrea, Rebecca, Daniel and Naomi. Proud great-grandmother of Annabel. Predeceased by her siblings Miriam (Israel), Sarah Leah (Pinchas), Betty (George), and Pesa (Loniah). She will be lovingly remembered and deeply mourned by her nieces, nephews, family and friends in North America, Europe and Israel. The family would like to thank her devoted caregiver Chava, and the staff of 5 NW at the Maimonides Geriatric Centre. ABRAMS, Jamie Brandon. On Friday, October 3, 2014. Beloved son of Ann Green and Sam Abrams. Loving brother of Eric. Dear nephew of Edie and Phil Chechik, Arlene and Gabby Green. He will be missed by his cousins Jason, Sean, Jared, Haley, Adam and Geraldine, Evan and Alicia, and by all who knew and loved him. A private funeral service took place on Tuesday, October 7. Proud and devoted Grandma of Zachary, Sydney, Jordan, Lindsay, and Bradley; and Ella, Paige, Dylan, and Jesse. Loving sister and sister-in-law of Stephen and Louella Lecker, Murray and the late Joyce Brettschneider; and sister-in-law of Steven and Arlene Tolensky, and Barbara Schleifer. Daughter of the late Rose and the late Theodore Lecker. Barbara will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their families, and by all of her many good friends. Dear brother-in-law of Ruth and the late Ben Epstein, Ellie and the late Ralph Charad, Pat and the late Issie Charad and the late Bill Charad. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.
