BERENBAUM, Shirley (née Brainin). Peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on Monday, October 13, 2014 in her ninety-fifth year. Beloved wife of the late George. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Stephen Berenbaum, Linda and the late Simon Schwartz, Joanie and Allan Reichson. Cherished “Gramma” of Jamie and Wendy Berenbaum, Aron and Hillary Schwartz, Jeremy and Amanda Schwartz, Jordy and Joy Reichson, Todd and Sophie Reichson, Elyse Berenbaum, and Richard Berenbaum. Adored “GG” of Kaitlyn, Jack, Gavin, Simon, Gray, Gabriel, Zoey, Gabrielle, Zachary, Dylan and Ariane. Predeceased by her sisters Sybil Kramer, Evelyn Wiseman; and by all of George’s siblings. Cherished grandfather of eighteen grandchildren: Sherri Kotler, Lori Kotler, Jarred Kotler (Keren), Shaun Lovell (Joyce), Scott Lovell, Robyn Sheppard (Glenn), Janis Kotler (Karl) Heidi Kotler (Rob), Rachel Speigel (Ryan), Ira Golden, Rena Segal, and Michael Segal. A Holocaust survivor. Peacefully and courageously, on Sunday, September 28, 2014, in his eighty-fourth year. Beloved son of the late Jenny and the late Martin Blum who perished in the Auschwitz.
