ROSENSTOCK, David. In his 101st year, on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Husband of Regina Zwikler. Beloved father and father-in-law of Leon Rosenstock and Sharon Weiner, Lily and Benny Gamliel of Israel. Cherished grandfather of Rebecca, and Mikey Rosenstock; Amir and Risa Gamliel, Eran and Oznat Gamliel, Yael and Eyal Dori. Proud great-grandfather of Annie, Fay, and Ellie Gamliel; Itamar, and Naama Gamliel; Noam, Omri, and Ziv Dori. Predeceased by his ten siblings who perished in the Holocaust. Dear brother-in-law of Louisa and the late Herman Zwikler. Loving uncle of Eddy, and Gali Zwikler, and Marvin Zwikler. Heartfelt thanks to his loving and devoted caregiver Elizabeth Banaga. Lazar Lapidus

LAPIDUS, Lazar. On Monday, October 27, 2014, at the age of ninety-seven. Beloved husband of the late Rachel Lapidus. Treasured brother of the late Helen Isakson, the late Harry Lapidus, the late Edith Fagin, and the late Esther Zvi. Beloved uncle of Robert and Carolyn Isakson of West Hartford, CT, Ruth (Isakson) and Phil Markel of Toronto. Cherished and adored grand-uncle of Aubrey Isakson, Loren and Yardena Isakson, Shelly Markel and Ian Freedman, and the late Daniel Markel. Great-grand-uncle of Michal, Ari, Roni, Shireen, Nili, Benjamin, and Lincoln. Lazar's devotion to his family was boundless, and he had an extensive network of friendships, all of whom were touched by his positive inspiration. He was a committed philanthropist to local community charities, as well as to multiple medical and educational institutions in Israel. Lazar was an avid supporter of the State of Israel. He co-founded Allure Sportswear in 1948, and was a principal in Yonkers Sportswear, Allouffe Sportswear, and ASTA Fashions. The family wishes to thank Krishna Singh for the exceptional and compassionate care that was given to Lazar. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Thursday, October 30 at 10:00 a.m. Burial at the Adath Jeshurun Congregation Section, Back River Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Berri Street. Beloved mother of Bob Hollander. Cherished grandmother of Guy and Karen Hollander, Ross and Kim Hollander, Tracey Hollander McCormick. Great-grandmother of three. Dear sister of Bert Feig, the late Shari Roth, the late Edith Kadar, and the late Joseph Farago. Cherished ‘Bubbie Anne’ of Michael, Caroline and Josh, Rebecca, Elijah, Jakob, Michelle, Jordan, and Elliot. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Selma and Harvey Cooperman, and sister-in-law of Issie and Rozanne Katz, and the late Mosie Katz. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. Devoted father and father-in-law of Alan and Anita, Lorne and Joyce, Susan and Ian. Proud and loving grandpa of Sam and Zoe; Madison and Justin; Matthew and Jordan. Dearest brother and brother-in-law of Rose and the late George Krulewitz, Norma and the late Manny Eisenstat, the late Dr. Jack and the late Bea Eisenstat, the late Irving and the late Shirley Eisenstat, and brother-in-law of Freda and the late Ben Surkes. GOLDEN, Audrey (nee Gould). On Saturday, November 1, 2014, in her eighty-eighth year. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Allan and Susan, and Leslie. Cherished grandmother of Maddie and Halle. Dear sister of Robert Gould. Predeceased by her sisters, Beatrice Weiss and Norma (Randy) Gould, and brother, Richard Gould. Daughter of the late Abraham (Abe) Gould and the late Elizabeth Schwartz. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, friends and clients who loved her joie de vivre and panache. The family would like to thank Westmount One, notably director, Stephen Ray, and head nurse, Flo, as well as the 3rd floor staff, especially those who showered Audrey with kisses and hugs (when she wasn’t threatening to bop them over the head with her cane). Special thanks to Jumoke, and our appreciation to Paulette and Uweth for their exceptional care and compassion. Though her stay was only for a short time, we would like to thank the staff at St-Margaret Residential Centre, including Dr. Howard Dawang whose genuine caring and understanding was very much appreciated. Cherished grandmother of Orly Schwartz Shapira and Phil Fayer, Alexandra Sophie Wexler; Shimshon, David, Yosef, Emmanuel and Noam Schwartz. Proud great-grandmother of Liv Maya Fayer. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Margalit and the late Gideon Goldenberg, the late Meir Harpaz, and sister-in-law of the late Adolph (Aaron) Schwartz, the late Ida and the late Nat Feifer, the late Beril and the late Binnie Schwartz, and the late Gertrude Schwartz.
