Albert Cohen
Peacefully, on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at the age of seventy-six. He is survived by his wife Solange Fichtenbaum, his children, Stephanie, and Alex (Amanda), his loving granddaughter Camille, and his sister, Dora Zevin (Harvey). He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Born in Egypt in 1939, he settled in Montreal in 1968 with his wife Solange, after living in France for fifteen years and serving in the French military. He worked as director of El Al Airlines for much of his career and taught at Concordia University in the continuing education department. He took great pride in everything he did and preferred discretion over recognition. Later in life he found a passion for sculpting and painting, never missing an opportunity to spend time in his studio. He displayed great courage, dignity and pride both in life and in his ultimate battle.
