John Dunn

Surrounded by his loved ones, John Dunn passed away at the age of 86 in Cowansville on May 15th, 2013. The son of the late John Stephen Dunn and the late Yvonne Potvin, he leaves to mourn him his wife of 64 years Lorraine, his loving daughters: Brenda (Jean - Pierre Lardeau), Suzan (Nicholas Kitto) and Sandra (Roger Reed), his dear grand - daughters: Roxane (Guillaume Lesbros), Nadine (Robert Switzer), Marie - Pierre (Sameer Bhatnagar) and Maxine (Shaun Dooley), as well as four sweet great - grandsons: Ryder, Samuel, Louis and Owen.

He is predeceased by his sister Bernadette (the late Harold Brousseau), his brothers: Ross (the late Simone), Jean Luc (Monique), Roch (the late Stella), Denis (the late Denise), Russell (Francine) and survived by his sisters Marguerite (Luc Girard), Ruth (Hugh Peckham), Céline (the late Robert Lambert) and France (the late Marcel Pilon) as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by his brothers - in - law and sisters - in - law, Francis Boucher (the late Paul Poirier), Reginald Boucher (the late Maud), Norman Boucher (Monique), and left to mourn by Isabelle Boucher (Roch Saint - Germain), Merrill Boucher (the late Marielle Demers), Jeanne Boucher (the late Mario Bolduc), and by several nieces and nephews.

John Dunn was a well - known businessman in Sweetsburg and later in Cowansville who also loved to play music, travel, play cards and golf. He put himself to learn Spanish at age fifty and took up the challenge to read the Bible in this language from Genesis to the Apocalypse. His remarkable art of story telling as well as his great sense of humour will be remembered fondly by all of his family and friends. Condolences will be received at the
