Peacefully at the Brome Missisquoi Perkins Hospital in Cowansville, QC, on Sunday September 20th, at the age of 85, passed away Owen Arnold Patterson beloved husband of Verna Mahannah. He leaves to mourn his children, Brian (Johanne), Barry (Elizabeth) and Brenda, his grandchildren, Chris (Marianne), Andrew, Mandy and Katherine, his great - granddaughter Olivia, great - grandson Matthew, his brothers - in - law and sisters - in - law, many nephews and nieces, other relatives, friends and neighbours. Many thanks to Dr. Désy, Dr. Barakett and the staff at the BMP Hospital. As per his wishes, cremation took place at the Désourdy Crematorium in Farnham. A private service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in memory to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.

Ruth Lapointe (Nee Hodder)

Peacefully at the Brome Missisquoi Perkins Hospital in Cowansville, QC, on Friday September 11, at the age of 83, beloved wife of the late Ernest Lapointe. She leaves to mourn her children, Douglas, Derrick, Joseph, Billy and late Ian, two grandchildren and one great - granddaughter from Cambridge ON, her two sisters, brothers - in - laws and sisters - in - laws, many nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends, especially, Agnes, Carol and Cristal. Many thanks to the doctors and the staff at the BMP Hospital and Le Panier Fleuri for their help and caring. Cremation took place at the Désourdy Crematorium in Farnham. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donation can be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Morris Croghan

At his beloved home in Fulford, Qc. on Saturday, September 12th, with loved ones by his side, passed away Morris Croghan, son of late Moses and Lillian (née Hartley), from pancreatic cancer. Cremation has taken place.

“Moe” leaves to mourn a large and adoring family: His sister and best buddy Linda (late Marcel Mailloux, late Peter Vukovich) of West Brome, his ex - wife and dear friend Diane McKell (Reid Gaylor) of Foster, his five children; Morris (Lynne Patenaude) of Brome, Joanne (Peter Marier) of Knowlton, Heather (Michael Moreland) of Foster, Shannon (Christopher Gibbs) of Knowlton, and Matthew of Fulford, his twelve grandchildren; Dylan, Mercedes, James, Matthew, Michael, Andrew, Peter, Elizabeth, Meaghan, Kathryn, Eirynne, and Liam, a number of cousins, including Peter and Stephen Hartley of West Brome and Patricia Braley (née Hartley) of the same place, and many friends and acquaintances.

The family will receive condolences at the Désourdy Funeral Home in Knowlton on Friday, September 18th (Moe’s 72nd birthday) from 7 to 10 p.m. The funeral will take place at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Knowlton the next day, Saturday, September 19th beginning at 11 a.m. It will be followed by a reception in the church basement. A private burial will take place at the Pettes Cemetery in West Brome at a later date.

Very proud of his heritage, Morris was an active Life Member of the Brome County Historical Society. Donations to that non - profit organization would be greatly appreciated.

In Bedford, on Thursday September 10, 2015 at the age of 81, passed away Connie Marshall beloved wife of late Arthur Brulotte from Farnham. She leaves to mourn her daughter Lorie - Ann (Rodger Soule), her granddaughters Christina and Megan, her sister and brother Beverly (Rick Bateman) and Gordon (Nancy) Marshall. Also survived by her brothers - in - law, sisters - in - law, nephews, nieces, other relatives and dear friends. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Biff” on September 5, 2015 with her family at her side. Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Blackwood. She will be greatly missed by her children, Douglas Warnock (Grace), Debbie and Heather (Duncan). Her grandchildren, Jonathan, Mathew and Jessica. Her brother James (Jim) Burley of New Brunswick, and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at St - Paul’s Anglican Church, 24 St Paul Rd, Knowlton, Saturday October 3, 2015 at 11:00am, followed by a celebration of Biff’s life.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the B.M.P Hospital in Cowansville, or the Maison au Diapason in Bromont.

Under the paliatif care at La Providence hospital, in Magog, on August 24th 2015, at the age of 76 years old has passed away Mrs Phyllis Clark loving wife of M. Andre Marcoux from Mansonville.

Survived by her husband, she also leaves to mourn her 4 children : Francis (Cindy), Roger (Stephanie), Natalie (Chris), and Patrick (Anik), her grandchildren : Michelle, Frankie, Nicholas, Andrew, Jordan, Christina, Joshua, Jacob, Zoey, Nora, Tahlia and Eloise, also her 8 great - grandchildren.

She also leaves to mourn her brothers : Rupert, Roland and Wayne, her brothers - in - law and sisters - in - law, nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
