NACHSHEN, Samuel David. On Tuesday, May 9, 2000. Beloved husband and life partner of Anne Friedman. Dear son of the late Polly and Jack. Cherished and devoted father and father-in-law of Gary and Julie (Prentice) and Eileen and Brian Goldberg. Dearest brother and brother-in-law of Larry and Margaret, and Brian and Barbara. Cherished and proud Zaida of Robert Goldberg and Thomas Nachshen. Loving uncle of Mark, Jennifer and Johanna. He will be sadly missed by his cousins and friends. Our thanks to Drs. Wahbi Hammouda, Arthur Rosenberg, Mervyn Gornitsky and to Nurse Rejeanne Bergeron for their exceptional dedication and friendship. BILYJ, Katarina (Shulyk). Peacefully in her home on June 7, 2000 in her eighty-fourth year. Beloved wife of the late Ilia. She is survived by her loving sons George, Danny and Peter, daughter-in-law Gloria, her three grandchildren Jody, Tanya, Kathy, her sisters and brothers Annie, Mary, Bill, Walter, Peter and Mike, nieces, nephews and friends. BRUYERE, Christian. Walked into God's hands peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2000 at the age of thirty-seven, in Toronto, after a two year battle with a very rare cancer (DSRCT). Chris will be deeply missed by his wife Gabriella (nee Sahapoglu), children Marc (9) and Caroline (8), parents Rita and Yves, brother Danys (and Annie), sister-in-law Katherine (and Kjell-Eivind), parents-in-law Tito and Erato Sahapoglu. A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Princess Margaret Hospital for their exceptional kindness and care. At Chris' request, there will be no formal visitation; his body will be cremated and his ashes offered to the ocean in Bonita Beach, Florida. Two memorials will be held to celebrate his life, one in Toronto (Friday, June 9 at 2 p.m., St. Gabriel's Church, 650 Sheppard Ave. East at Bayview) and one in Montreal (Friday, June 16 at 2 p.m., Good Shepherd Church, 7900 Naples, Brossard). CAPE, David E. In loving memory of David who died accidentally on Tuesday, June 6, 2000, near his country home, at the age of sixty-one. He is survived by his loving wife Sylvia (nee de Heinrich) and his three cherished children John, Nico (finacee Jodi) and Jill. He is the son of John (Victoria) and the late Betty. He will be greatly missed by his brother Crick (Bev) and his sisters Mary and Susie (Rob). David was born in Montreal, attended L.C.C. and T.C.S. and proudly wore his engineering ring from McGill. David's first love was his family whom he adored. He was an exceptional man with great integrity, strength and grace. David was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, golf, tennis, x-country skiing and long walks at the "Tree House" with his dog Heidi. He will always be remembered by his loving wife, his family and his numerous friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, Breast Cancer Research Fund.
