MILES, George Palmer. Passed away peacefully at Foyer Dorval on February 21, 2003 in his ninety-seventh year. Beloved husband of Claire Casavant. Loving father of Adele, Robin (John Galloway) and Rowan. Cherished grandfather of Gregory and Lauren. Dear brother of Herb (Celine Poirier) and the late Henry (late Enid Jeffrey). He also leaves behind his nephews and their family and friends. Funeral service at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont (514) 279-6540 on Wednesday, February 26 at 11 a.m. Visitation one hour prior to service. MULDERRIG, Ella V. (nee Stanley). Formerly of Chateauguay, Quebec, passed on peacefully Sunday, February 23, 2003, in Peterborough, Ontario. Predeceased by son Steven Philip Mulderrig and husband James Patrick Mulderrig. Survived by son Jim (Louise), daughters Joanne (Rick), Pamela (Rob) and grandchildren Emily and David. Private Memorial Service and burial will take place in early spring.

ROTHDRAM, Albert Adrian. On February 5, 2003 in Flagler Beach, Florida in his seventy-third year. Survived by sons Steven (Kim) of Anguilla, BWI and Alan of Hudson. Also survived by sister Audrey (Mills) of Oakville. A memorial service will be held in Hudson at a later date.

Cherished grandmother of Louisa and Darren Boyer, Patti-Ann and J.J. Glazer. Proud great-grandmother of Matthew Parker Boyer and Joshua Peter Glazer. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Samuel and the late Bea Grostern, Issie and the late Sophie Grostern, the late Florence and the late Max Seitz, Fay and the late Hy Grostern. Sister-in-law of the late Dr. Borys and the late Celia Tolczynski, the late Jennie and the late Sol Schmerling. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Wednesday, February 26 at 10:45 a.m. Burial at the Russian Polish Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter's residence. Dear father of Allen Ward (Geraldine) of Kirkland, Quebec and Norman Ward (Cheryl) of Pointe Claire, Quebec. Loving grandfather of Alana, Lindsay, Jessica and Meagan. Dear son of the late Oscar Ward and the late Eleanor Dobson. Predeceased by one sister, Mrs. Lily Sweetland. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd. 114 Main St., Alexandria, Ontario (1-613-525-2772) on Tuesday, February 25, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until time of Service on Wednesday. A Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at 11 a.m. followed by cremation. The Rev. Jenni Leslie officiating. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.

HOLMES, Grace Lillian Ross Brown. March 17, 1931 to April 13, 2003. Peacefully, in her sleep, at Moncton Hospital. Grace is survived by her sister, Beatrice Reeves, of Charlottetown; her children, Robin, Brock and Gregg Holmes; and her grandchildren Rian, Mallory, Patrick, Meaghan, Gillian, Liam and Evan. Special thanks to Grace's daughter-in-law, Christena, for hospital visits. The entire family's deepest gratitude goes to all of Mom's compassionate and affectionate caregivers at Grass Home, Riverview, New Brunswick.

LEAN, Evelyn (nee Shatilla). In Montreal on April 24, 2003 passed away peacefully Evelyn Shatilla at the age of eighty-eight years. Predeceased by her husband Albert Lean and her daughter Roseanna. Loving mother of Allyn (Nancy) and grandmother to Amanda and Alexa. She leaves her brother Edward Shatilla as well as other relatives and friends. She was a longtime resident of Town of Mount Royal and she volunteered her time and resources to the Mentally Retarded and the Ladies Auxiliary of St. Nicholas Church. The funeral ceremony will be held on Monday, April 28, 2003 at 11 a.m. in St. Nicholas Antiocian Orthodox Church, 80 De Castelnau East, Montreal. The family will receive condolences at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Nicholas Antiocian Orthodox Church.
