NAGLE, Nancy Louise. Of Chomedey, passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at the age of sixty-seven. Beloved daughter of the late Fancelia Foulis and the late William Nagle. Born in St. John, NB, spent her childhood in Yarmouth, NS. Survived by brother Bill (Marylynne), many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends of London, ON. After her graduation from Acadia in Home Economics, she spent most of her working life in the school system throughout Quebec. Funeral from J.J. Cardinal Funeral Chapel, 560 Pr. Lakeshore Dr., Dorval, Tel.: (514) 631-1511 on Monday December 15 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Yarmouth, NS. Visitation Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

PERSAUD, Parananand (Neil). 1939-2003. In Montreal on December 11, 2003, at the age of sixty-four years, died Mr. Parananand (Neil) Persaud. He leaves to mourn his wife Teresita Agapinan and children: Debbie (Kettenacker) Andrea (Bailey), four brothers and two sisters, and many other family and friends. Services will be held at:on Saturday, December 13 at 10 a.m. followed by the cremation service at Le Cimetiere pres du fleuve, 2750 Marie-Victorin in Longueil.

POLLARD HITCHMOUGH, Joan. 1924 - 2003. Passed away on December 11 at Charles Lemoyne Hospital at the age of seventy-nine. Mrs. Joan Shields, spouse of Ken Pollard. Beloved mother of the late Clive and Dereck. She also leaves to mourn her children Julie and Myles, grandchildren, nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at La Maison Darche, Reseau Dignite, 7679 boul. Taschereau, Brossard, info@lamaisondarche.com on Sunday, December 14 from 1 to 5 p.m., thence to Darche Crematorium.

PURCELL, Douglas William. Born July 17, 1929, passed away December 11, 2003 after a short illness. He is predeceased by his parents and one brother. Survived by Alice Shirley Purcell, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a sister and brother-in-law of Howick, Quebec. As per the wishes of the deceased, there will be no visitation.

QUAID, Edith Wall Davies. The long journey through life that began in Liverpool, England on July 31, 1907 ended in Barrie, Ontario on December 9, 2003. She will live on in the hearts of her children Anne Johnston (Lock) of Hillsdale, Ontario, Geoffrey Quaid (Helene) of Beaconsfield, Quebec and Peter Quaid of Toronto. beloved grandmother of Michael Johnston (Donelda), Wendy Johnston (Richard Camicioli), Daniel Johnston (Ann) and Jennifer Quaid (Garry Irvine). Great-grandmother of Nathen, Lucas and Mikylla Johnston, Emma and Amy Camicioli and Emily, Heather and Sarah Johnston. Edith came to Canada with her mother Edith and sister Dorothy in 1930. She met her husband Michael in Montreal in 1932 and was his companion until his death in 1987. She was predeceased by her brother Jack and niece Jean Davies. Fondly remembered by her sister Dorothy of London, England, nieces Edith Anne McBride, Gwen Hogan, nephew John Davies and their children, cousins Mavis and Audrey Griffin and Gillian Stephens. Committal at Innisvale Crematorium, Friday, December 12 at 11 a.m. Time and place of memorial service will be announced by the family later. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a Christmas charity would be appreciated.

Devoted and loving wife of the late Nathaniel Rappaport, and the late Irving Scott. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Stephen Scott of Montreal, Michael and Laura Falk Scott of Sausalito, CA. Caring grandmother of Julia Rose Falk Scott of San Francisco, CA. Loving sister of the late Louis and the late Sam Vaintrub. Her family offers our deepest thanks to the amazing staff at Le Strathmore in Dorval, and particularly to her dedicated caregivers Jackie, Susan, Marilyn and Regina. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West on Sunday, December 14 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Shaar Hashomayim Congregation Cemetery, Mount Royal Blvd. Shiva private. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Montreal, 369-0800. She lived her life with passion, and to the fullest. She will be often in our thoughts and always in our hearts.

Brother of Albert, Ernest, Arthur, Sandra and the late Ronald. Uncle of many nieces and nephews.
