WHITE, Bertha (nee Fournier). Peacefully in Victoria, B.C. on December 8, 2003 at the age of ninety-eight years. Beloved wife of the late Roland White. Dear mother of Brendan (Lynn), the late Sherdan (Hasper), Gavin (Evelyn), Phyllis McAuley (Alban) and the late Reid. She will be dearly remembered by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the beloved sister of Adrien of Gaspe, Quebec and Ida Comeau of Fabreville, Quebec, the late Arthur, the late Raymond and the late Evelyn McKoy. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Interment in Victoria, B.C.

YOUNG, Colleen (Dwyer). Peacefully, but unexpectedly, in Cowansville, on Thursday, December 11, 2003. Colleen is survived and lovingly remembered by her mother, Doris, brother Dennis (Sue), sons Brian (Vicki), Robert (Sherry), and Alan (Valerie), eight grandchildren (with another on the way), and nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Montreal, she made the Eastern Townships her home for the last thirty years. Colleen was an artist, accomplished porcelain potter, active community member, and amateur chorister. She leaves a multitude of friends who will cherish her memory. No visitation. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2003, at Emmanuel United Church, 203 rue Principale, Cowansville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Foundation, 950, rue Principale, Cowansville, QC, J2K 1K3.

DAOUST, Leo. 1908-2005. In Varennes on October 1, 2005 at the age of ninety-seven years, passed away Mr. Leo Daoust, husband of the late Marie-Josee Billy, formerly of Ville Lorraine. He leaves to mourn his son Jean-Claude (Lucie), his two grandchildren Louis and Marie-Josee, his brother Emile (Jacqueline Lavallee). He also leaves to mourn nephews, nieces and many other relatives and friends. Mr. Daoust will be resting at: (Le cimetiere pres du fleuve), 2750 Blvd. Marie-Victorin East, Longueuil on Wednesday, October 5 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. The funeral will be held at Ste Anne de Varennes Church on Thursday, October 6 at 11 a.m. On Thursday, the day of the funeral, the Complex will be open as of 9 a.m.

MARTONI, Anne (nee Marinelli). Passed away at the Lakeshore General Hospital on Friday, September 30, 2005 at the age of eighty-one. She is predeceased by her husband Dominic Martoni (Nick Martin). Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Mallory and Richard Vincent and grandmother of Richard Jr. and Robert. Loving and devoted mother to nephew Ciro Martoni (Shirley) and his children Timothy and Christopher. Predeceased by her brother Raymond Marinelli (Cecile) and her sister Josephine. We are all comforted that she is now in peace. She was extremely devoted to her family and to the Lord, and her prayers will be greatly missed by those she loved. Visitation at the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella) on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 12 to 1 p.m. Funeral Mass at the Parish of the Ascension of our Lord (Sherbrooke West & Clarke, Westmount) on Monday, October 3 at 2 p.m. Condolences may be sent to www.kanefetterly.qc.ca

OBITUARY JOHN (JACK) REICH Called away September 30, 2005. Quickly and peacefully. Jack happily joins Elaine who passed in 1983. Jack was the son of James and Jesse Reich, Scottish born who immigrated to Montreal in the early 1900's. Jack was their first son (b. 1917) and James and William soon followed. Raised in Pointe Saint-Charles, Jack volunteered and served in the Canadian Army from 1939 to 1945 in England and the Netherlands. He claimed good fortune at being able to return home early in furlough and greater fortune to marry Elaine Thompson in June of 1945. His luck continued as the war ended prior to his re-call to duty and he joined Canadair in a career long job "on-the-line". A skilled worker with a knack for problem solving, Jack finished his time on the job as a first class instructor to new hires. His life was built around family, home, job, fixing cars and lately his cats. He was a great Dad to Bonnie, Holly and Tom, a wonderful father-in-law to George, Michael, Ann and Valerie and a devoted Poppa to Tara, James and Jenna. Although the words were sometimes addled, you could never mistake the love in the message. Thanks Dad, we love you too. Jack's life will be celebrated in a private service at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd., D.D.O. 514-685-3344 and will be laid to rest at Rideau Memorial Gardens, D.D.O. next to Elaine on Tuesday, October 4, 2005. In lieu of flowers, take your kids to the park.

SIINO, Girolamo. 1927-2005. In Montreal on September 30, 2005, passed away at the age of seventy-eight years, Mr. Girolamo Siino, beloved husband of Elisabetta Della Serra. Loving father of Angelina (Daniel), Tony (Irma) and Lidia (Sergio). Cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren, will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of 7th North West of the Jewish General Hospital. The family will receive relatives and friends at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex Inc., 10300 Pie-IX Blvd., Montreal North. The funeral will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 11:15 a.m. at Our Lady of Pompei Church thence to Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery. Cherished wife of Leo Simonelis for fifty-nine years and loving mother of Ken (Sandra), Robert (Sharon) and Eric (Marie) as well as her beloved grandchildren Alexandra and Ariane. ABRAMS, Thomas Gerald. 1941 - 2005. Passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, September 29, at the MUHC Pallative Care Unit after a short battle with cancer. Cherished husband of Vera May (Bockus) and beloved father of Melissa May and Michael. Survived by his mother Helen (Burnett) and predeceased by his father Thomas Gerald Sr. He leaves behind many loved ones including his brother Richard (Andrea) and his sister Patricia. He will be greatly missed by his nephews and nieces, cousins, family, friends and cherished neighbours.
