BATTEN, Lorraine Patricia (nee Hooper). Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at the age of seventy-two. Survived by her loving husband of fifty years, John Rex Batten. Loving mother of Mark (Cindy) and Leslie (Louis). Cherished Nana to Brittany, Brent, Sarah and Louis. Survived by her sister Eileen (Andrew Anderson) of White Rock, B.C. Predeceased by her brother Kenneth Hooper. Sadly missed by nephew Stephen (Caroline) and many other friends and family. Family will receive condolences at the J.F. BOTTER, John. Passed away at the Jewish General Hospital after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness on December 5, 2002. Beloved husband of Norma for 46 years, devoted father and father-in-law of Donna (Victor Pawlow) and Cathy (Neil Bultz), loving grandfather of Kris and Kayla. Survived by his brother Angelo, sisters Lucy and Joanne. He will be sadly missed by all his extended family and friends. Will be greatly missed by her daughter Carol, sons Howard (Patty), John (Lise) and Jim (Diane), grandchildren Wesley, Robert, Tyler, Jay, Emily, Michelle, Laura, Andrew, Thomas, Chelsea. The family want to especially thank mother's friend and companion Georgina and also the doctors and the nurses on the 15th floor at the Montreal General Hospital for their compassionate care. CULLEN, Vivian Harold "Viv". At Lakeshore General Hospital on December 4, 2002 at the age of eighty-four years. Born in Sudbury, Ontario, attended McGill University, lived for fifty years in Dorval. Retired engineer, he served on the Dorval Planning Board for many years. He was a friend of Bill W. for eighteen years. Active outdoorsman and community volunteer, he is survived by brother Gus of Toronto, children Sarah and Christopher in the United States, grandchildren Max, Nora and Jesse and nephews Steve and Matt in Ontario. He also leaves his devoted caretakers, Barbara Smith and Danny Mullins. There will be visiting hours at Cardinal Funeral Home, 560 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval on Thursday, December 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Veronica's Parish, 1300 Carson Avenue, Dorval on Friday, December 6 at 11 a.m.
