BLUMER, Sylvia (nee Cohen). It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our gracious and gentle mother, Sylvia, in Toronto, on Sunday, June 3, 2012. Predeceased by her beloved husband Monty. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Marilyn and Cal Cochrane, Eric Blumer and Jo-Anne Walter. Cherished ‘Grammie’ of Rebecca and Michelle Cochrane; and Harrison Blumer. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Claire and the late Elmer Horwood, David and Rhoda Cohen, and sister-in-law of Bernard Blumer. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Spirited mother and mother-in-law of Mark Goldman and Sheila Moore, Lorne Goldman and Audrey Morris, and Marcy Goldman. Grandmother of Rachel Goldman and Sam Sabloff, Natasha Goldman and Patrick Griffin, Jonathan Goldman, Nathan Goldman, Jordan Goldman, Gideon Goldman-Posluns, Benjamin Goldman. Predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Harry and Esther Ilieff. Sister-in-law of Beryl and the late Ralph Goldman, the late Helen and the late Bernard Miller, the late Eveline and the late Heinz Michaelson. Respected aunt of Stan and Anita Ilieff, great-aunt of Zachary Ilieff, and beloved cousin of Mark Shurman and his daughter and son-in-law, Polinka and Alexi. Cherished Bubby of Schneur (Steven) and Nechama, Aviva and Jonathan, Danna and Harry, Danielle, and David. Proud great-grandmother of Yisroel Meir, Aliza, Chavy, Emily, Molly, Joshua, and Madison. Loving mother of Gloria and Morty Goren, Sharon Abramson, Judy and Robert Brecher. Bubbie Rosalie was loved by her grandchildren Lee and Sherri Goren, Jamie and Celina Goren, Mark and Karen Goren, Trisha and Marc Felgar, Alissa and David Hanslip, Steven Szabolcsi and Christine Carbonneau, Brandon Brecher and Jessica Van Nispen, Matthew Brecher, and the late Lorne Szabolcsi. She was adored by her fourteen great-grandchildren. Caring sister of the late Reva Mones, and predeceased by her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ida and Louis Albert, Anne and Nat Perzow, Bessie and Ben Cohen.
