BETTS, Louisa (nee Poole)
At Notre Dame Hospital, Montreal, on Thursday, November 27th, 2003 in her 89th year. Survived by her husband Paul Van Vliet Betts, her sister Shareen (Connie) Van der Schyffe, her children, Daphne Topass, Ivan Everts, Clarence Everts, Moira Bristow, Eleanor Ryan, Owen Everts and Anthony (Tony) Everts, her daughters-in-law, Brenda, Joan, Sandra and Beulah, her son-in-law Nicholas, her 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Predeceased by her late husband Walter Everts, her late children, Lorraine and Valerie Everts, and eleven brothers and sisters.
Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, 137 President-Kennedy, on Monday, December 1st at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive condolences at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery.
DUCAS, Johanna Louise
Le 11 novembre 2003, à l'âge de 52 ans, au terme d'une longue maladie combattue dans le courage et la dignité est décédée Joanna Louise Ducas, fill adorée de Madelaine Ducas (Dupré) et de feu Harry John Ducas, soeur bien-aimée de Pierre. Elle laisse dans la tristesse de nombreux parents et amis au Canada et aux États-Unis, tout patriculièrement sa tante Lorraine Dupré , Mrs. Loula D'Jimas de Scotia (N.Y.), son oncle Gus Ducas (Vicky), ses cousines Eliana et Thanasi de Floride, le Commandant Charles Rocheleau de West Virginia, Dr. André Dupré de Montmagny (Qc), Dr. John Ducas et Dr. Diane Ducas de Winnipeg et Dr. Dean Ducas de Cornwall (On). Née et élevée à VMR, elle laisse dans le deuil de nombreux amis dans le milieu du design de meubles. Un service funèbre à sa mémoire sera célébré à l'Église St-Joseph de Mont-Royal, VMR, le samedi 6 décembre à 14 h. Predeceased by her loving husband Albert, sisters Kathleen (late Bob Murray), Marjorie (Jim Pearmain), Adelaide and brothers Hurst (late May Wynn). Survived by sister Thelma (late Gerald McElheron), brothers Edward (late Rita McIntee) and Arthur (Monique Sauvé) and brother-in-law Jim Pearmain (Barbara). Suddenly at home on Friday November 28, 2003. Beloved mother of Colin J. McCorriston of Ottawa (Marianne), beloved "Granny Lila" to Jamie and Anna. Lila Redmond, dermatologist and physician, carried on her medical practice in Montreal with great passion for over fifty years, until he last day. Sincere appreciation and special thanks are extended to Claire Brouillette, Brenda Cote, Sophie Papaconstantinou, the Morgan family and Annette Lefebvre for all their care and support. DESORMEAUX Eleanor Jessie (nee Piscopo)
Passed away in Montreal on July 28, 2004 aged 74 years. Devoted and most loved mother of Diane (Andy) and Gary. Grandmother of Alessa. She will also be sadly missed by her sister Sarah, her brothers Frank (Lucille) and John (Geraldine). She will be dearly remembered by her family and many of her dear friends. MORELLI, Florian (Flor)
1947-2004
It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing, on October 13th, of Florian (Flor) at his home in Montreal surrounded by his family. He will be terribly missed by his wife Janis (Gervais), his son Julian, daughter Celia, brother Frank (Diane Charbonneau) and his nephew Didier. He leaves to mourn his in-laws Roger and Joyce Gervais, sisters-in-law Nicole (Jacques), Jo (Bernie), Karen (Bill), brother-in-law Barry (Randie), his many nephews and nieces, friends, colleagues and the numerous students he touched over the years. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Harvey Kreisman, Tara Jesion, Dr. Victor Cohen, Dr. Nathanial Sheiner, Naomi Cogan, Erin and all the nurses in the oncology clinic as well as the staff on the 7 north west at the Jewish General Hospital in helping Flor in his year long fight with cancer.
