Passed away at the Wales Home in Richmond, on Thurdsay, October 14, 2010 Mrs Gladys Thelma (Grace) Patton at the age of 94. Loving wife of over 63 years to the late Hugh Patton, and dear mother of Heather (Nick Turchyn), Sandra Cotton, and Jim (Felicity Stone). Beloved grandma of James (Karen), Donald (Kelly) and Ross (Kim) Cotton, and Chris and Brett Patton. Gladys also leaves to mourn, her 3 great -grandchildren Sharlyze, Zavhier and Kyanne Cotton and her sister Muriel Prescott along with many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Passed away at the CSSS des Sources, Asbestos QC on Sunday October 10th, 2010 at the age 85. Loving wife of the late Allan Sutherland, and dear mother of Catherine. She is pre-deceased by her parents Roland Montgomery and Elsie Hyde of South Durham, QC and her sister Margaret E. Montgomery (1993). Marion also leaves to mourn, her brother-in-law James Sutherland of Kingston Ontario, along with many friends. BLANCHE PATTERSON ROTHNEY Born March 11, 1918 in Inverness, Quebec, daughter of the late Hamilton Patterson and Elizabeth Church. Passed away peacefully on June 21, 2013 at the Hebergement Asbestos. BELOVED Mother of Joyce (Kingsley Bullard deceased) of Danville, Quebec Lindsay and Geary (Ruth) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, predeceased by daughter Vuila. She will be dearly missed by all her children their spouses, grand children, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren nephews, nieces and many friends. A grave side service will be held at a later date. We would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers comforting calls and emails. Precious husband of Geraldine Bessant and dear father of : Lorianne (Tom Dezan), Cynthia (Jerry), Scott, and Christopher (Melissa); adoring grandfather of Eric (Clara), and Stephanie (Jamie). Maro will also be sadly missed by his step-sons: Shawn, Nathaniel, Nicholas (Sasha), Casey, Madina, Leann and Brandon ; brother of the late Grace White, Elsie Lang (Thomas), and Carl. Lucienne Lapointe (nee Perron) Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the CHUS Hotel-Dieu, on April 5, 2013 at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Almanzar Lapointe and dear mother of Lucien (Josée Bernard) of Longueuil, Robert (Céline Lambert), of Sherbrooke, Gaétane (Yvan Michaud) of Sherbrooke, Huguette (Arthur Shelton) of Sherbrooke, the late Yvan (the late Jacqueline Gauthier) of Joliette and Julien (Guylaine Lussier) of Sherbrooke. She also leaves to mourn her grandchildren, Anne and France Lapointe, Steven and Daniel Shelton, Serge Lapointe, Sylvain Lapointe, Jean-Baptiste and Marie Michaud and Isabelle and Alexandre Lapointe as well as many great granchildren. Lucienne is survived by her sister Yvette Perron (the late Bernard Drolet) and her brother Lionel (the late Madeleine Labbé) along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. A funeral service will be held at the St-Camille Church, Cookshire on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 2 pm. The family will be present at the church at 12:30 to receive condolences from family and friends. Parsons Thompson, Norma Lillian
Lillian passed away peacefully at the Grace Christian Home, Huntingville, Quebec on Monday, March 25, 2013, at the age of 95. Lillian grew up in the Bury area and spent the first years of married life with her husband, the late Earl Thompson, in Sawyerville, Que., later moving to Orleans, VT and Gorham, NH, and when her health dictated more care was needed, she returned to the Eastern Townships in May 2010 living at the Grace Christian Home where she received tender care. Lillian leaves to mourn her children, Janet Michaud (Leon), Morris (Roxy), both of NH, Brent (Della) VT, and Kathryn LeBlanc (Larry) of PA., her grandchildren, David, Matthew, Cappi, Ashley, step-grandson Andrew, Kathleen, Zakary, Caitlin, great-grandchildren, Hunter, Kali, and Reese-Lillian. She is survived by 2 of her 8 siblings, Fay Rand and Audrey Dougherty, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Lillian was an avid golfer, loved to play bridge, enjoyed doing hand crafts and was a good homemaker. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 2 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to service at the Cass Funeral Home, 15 Station Street, Sawyerville, Quebec. At Lillian's request, cremation has taken place. Interment in Eaton Cemetery. Pratt, John
1936 - 2013
We are saddened to announce the passing of John Stuart Pratt, peacefully in Montreal of renal cancer. He made the most of the past 5 years and died with dignity and grace. Predeceased by his mother Dorothy Ward Connell and father R. John Pratt, he is survived by his three children Robert (Nicky), Julia (Tim) and Jennifer (Kirby). He was PapaJohn and Pop Pop to grandchildren Jessica, Anthony, Gregory, Elena, Elizabeth and Eliza. He also leaves his brother Robin Pratt (Francine) and nephew Graham and nieces Thea and Jessica. His dear friend Madeleine was with him when he died. Dad’s achievements over 76 years were many. Among them he was a recipient of the Bishop’s University Golden Mitre Award and inducted to its RBC Wall of Distinction for outstanding achievements in football, skiing, hockey, leadership and contributions to school life in the 50s; founding headmaster of The Country Day School in King City, Ontario in the 70s; and most recently, his unyielding support for Truth and Reconciliation for Bishop’s College School in Lennoxville, QC. And the next time it rains, we’ll know it’s because Dad is fly-fishing up in heaven. Thank you to the amazing staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for their great care over the past 5 years, particularly in the last month. A special thank you to Dr. Zidulka for her constant help and guidance. A private cremation has taken place. In the spring, there will lie a celebration of John’s life held at Bishop’s University in Lennoxville. For now, as dad would say, “Taut Lines”. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ‘John Pratt Scholarship Fund’ established at Bishop’s University in December 2012, by contacting the University Advancement Office.

Adoring brother of: Billy (Brenda), Brian (Monique) and Jennifer (Joel); Russell will also be sadly missed by his father and mother- in-law Alex and Marielle Bernais, as well as his brothers and sister-in-law Larry (Emilie) and Yves, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. PAYEUR Nicolas 2003-2012 Nicolas passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012, at the CHUS Fleurimont, at the age of 9, following an accident, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved son of Christine Bennett (Luc Longpré) and Francis Payeur and dear brother of Mélodie Payeur. Nicolas leaves to mourn his grandmother Colette Lachance (the late Gérard Payeur), his grandfather Keith Bennett (the late Claudine Bourque) and his great -grandmother Ange-Aimée Lehoux (the late Lévi Payeur). He also leaves to mourn his oncles Rémi Payeur (Geneviève Lapointe), David Bennett (Mélanie Gosselin) and Daniel Bennett (Amélie Rivard). Nicolas will be missed by his cousins Kelly-Ann, Bianca and Krystel Bennett-Gosselin.
