Norman GENTRY (1927-2015), faithful and loving husband, of Margaret Alloway-Gentry for 65 years, entered the presence of the God he loved & served on January 23rd 2015. He is survived by his dear wife, Margaret; and his children: Peter (Barbara), Ruth (Don Pape), Roy (Shirley), Grace (Abraham Shepherd), 11 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren. Pre-deceased by his son, Paul; his brother, David; and his parents, Herbert & Dorothy May (Ludlow). Funeral will be held on Saturday, January 31st, 2015 at 2 pm at Hope Community Church, 102 Queen St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), QC J1M 1J6. Norman will be laid to rest at the Huntingville Cemetery at a later date.

Passed away at the CHUS in Fleurimont on the 12th day of January at the age of 70. Precious husband of Cindy Washburn and loving father of Priscilla Gibbs and Jolene Gibbs. Dear grandfather of Dylan Woodard and Erika Gibbs Lemelin. He will also be sadly missed by many relatives and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at Cass funeral home in Stanstead 545 Dufferin at 2pm on the 17th of January

Passed away at the Wales Home in Richmond, on Monday, December 22, 2014, Mr. Ken Gale at the age of 95. Husband of the late Audrey Beckett, and father of Rae (the late Daniel Jean) and Lee (Jim Coddington). Dear grandfather of Tara Jean, Jason (Leanne), Mark (Anne) and Jared Warnholtz, and Mel, Mat, Jacob and Lucretia Coddington. Ken also leaves to mourn his 5 great-grandsons; Elijah, Micah, Miles, Nolan and Asher Warnholtz. Ken will be remembered for his passion for Jazz music and Standardbred horse racing. Passed away at the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu, on Sunday, December 14th, 2014 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Dennis Shapcott. Daughter of the late Arthur and Emily George and dear mother of Richard (Jo-Anne), Caroline (John), Michael (Ann), Suzanne, Jeremy and Jacqueline (Wilfredo). Loving grandmother to Michelle, Debra, Nicole, Malcolm, Jessica, Breeanna, Britteny and Kimberly as well as many great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister Patricia George. Audrey is survived by her sisters-in-law Gladys, Mavis, Wendy and brother-in-law Leslie as well as several nieces and nephews. At her request, no visitation. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Maison Aube-Lumiere, 3071, 12e Avenue Nord, Sherbrooke, QC J1H 5H3 or to the Wales Home Foundation, 506, Route 243 N. Passed away peacefully at Place Sanborn seniors’ residence on December 12, 2014, at the age of 83. She was predeceased by her loving husband Wayne Little, and leaves to mourn her children Jim (Joanne Menard), Randy (Cathy Lawrence), Angela (Stuart Hatch), and Rod (Yvette Roy), as well as her sister, Annabella Gilbert. She will be missed by her grandchildren David, Kaitlin, Jennifer, Heather, Michael (Samantha Roy), Meghann (James Dolloff), Greg (Priscilla Begin), Monica (Adam Hartley), Amanda (Michael Coakley), Bryan, and Sara. She also leaves behind her greatgrandchildren William, Miles, Laela, Jackson, Travis, Derek, Hailey, Zachary, Amy, Kyle, Noah, Caleb and Benjamin. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 900 Clough St., Ayer’s Cliff, where friends may visit on Thursday, December 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Ayer’s Cliff Cemetery in the spring.

Ethel Rider Davis beloved wife of the late Clarence Edwin Davis and dear mother of twin daughters Evelyn (Allan suitor) and the late Ethel (Lynn Bennett). Loving grandmother of six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 900 Clough, Ayer’s Cliff 819-876-5213 where friends and family may visit on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 t0 9:00 p.m., and on Thursday, March 5 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Barbara Wintle officiating. Passed away peacefully; with family at his side on October 25, 2010, at the West Island Palliative Care Residence. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Marilyn Duffy. Cherished Dad of: Alana (Andrew), the late Jillian, and Kevin (Marie). Proud Pappy of seven beautiful granddaughters: Ariah, Savannah, Ceilidh and Zenith Leroux and Taylor, Charlie and Lola Quinn. He will be missed by his sisters- in-law and brothers-in-law and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, cousins and long time friends. Service will be held at St.George’s Anglican Church, 23 Perrault St, Ste-Anne de-Bellevue on Friday October 29, 2010 at 1:30pm with Rev. Neil Mancor officiating. Oxford, Robert
Born on October 11, 1922 in Newport, Isle of Wight, England. Bob immigrated to Canada as a Home Child, arriving at the Gibbs Home in Sherbrooke, Quebec at age 15. He was one of the last surviving Home Children in Quebec. He served as a trooper with the Sherbrooke Fusiliers Regiment (27th Canadian Armoured Regiment) during World War II in France and Germany, and participated in the liberation of Holland in 1945. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Loving spouse of the late Pearl Irene Washburn, he was a cherished father to the late Stewart (Susan Hayes), Allan (Judy Cole), Max (the late Nancy Singleton) and Ellen (Jeff Loomis). He also leaves to mourn his grandchildren Joshua, Timothy, Jeffrey, Graham, Jordan, Brittany, Kaitlyn and Courtney as well as his great-grandchildren Ryann, Nicholas and Izabelle. Passed away peacefully, following a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday August 25th 2013, Mark O’Donnell at the age of 57. Loving father of Julie (Eric Leclerc) et Patrick (Shanny Roy) and dear son of Gemma O’Donnell (the late Michael O’Donnell). Mark also leaves to mourn, his brother Peter (Monique), Denis (Susan), Paul (Joy), and Anne, and was predeceased by his brother Robert O’Donnell (Linda). He will be sadly missed by his girlfriend Lyne Giguere, along with his nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S. Richmond, where friends may visit on Friday August 30th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and on Saturday from 2 to 2:45 PM. A funeral mass will be held at Ste-Bibiane Catholic Church on Saturday August 31st at 3:00 PM followed by the interment in Ste-Bibiane cemetery. Passed away peacefully at the Wales Home in Richmond on June 14th, 2013 in her 97th year. Dear wife of the late Alden (Rusty) Carr. Mim will be missed by many but not as much as her family: her sister June (late Bob Foster), sons Robert (Mary) and Brian (Marcia); her grandchildren Melissa (Sean) and Melanie (Al); Oneida (Jay), Linda (Clayton) and Justin; great-grandchildren Jekoby, Darian, Aleisha, Samantha, Iris, Jayda Rose and Nathan. A Celebration of Mildred's life will be held at the Wales Home on Thursday June 20th 2013 at 1:30, followed by a time of fellowship until 3:30pm.
