Olney St-Cyr, Mary
Passed away peacefully in her 103rd year with members of her family by her side on October 19, 2012 at the Wales Home, Cleveland. She was the last surviving member of Ira Olney and Maude Gorman’s family and the devoted wife of the late Lionel St-Cyr. She will be greatly missed by her loving children, Katherine and James; her son-in-law, Gerald Badger and daughter-in-law, Marilyn Coddington; her cherished grandchildren, James (Melissa Perkins), Michael (Erica Reid), Emily(John T. Page), Kayla and Justin.She also leaves to mourn her brother-in-law Eugene St-Cyr (Noella Collard) and a very special friend and cousin, Jessie Gorman Brochu and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale St. S. Richmond, on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 7 to 9:30 pm and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:15 am. A funeral mass will be held at Ste-Bibiane Catholic Church, Richmond, on Saturday, October 27th at 10:30 am. Interment in the Ste-Anne's Catholic Cemetery, Danville. As memorial tributes in lieu of flowers, donations to the Richmond Regional Scholarship and Loan Fund, c/o Mr. Steve Element, 375 Armstrong Street, Richmond QC, J0B 2H0 would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Oliver Slack, Alice
Passed away peacefully at the CSSS Memphremagog on Sunday January 8th at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Howard Slack. Dear mother of Tony, Steve (Marge) and Cathy. She also leaves to mourn her grandson Jamie Slack and great grandson Jesse Slack. With respect of Alice’s wishes there will be no visitation followed by a family burial at a later date. As a tribute to her memory, donations may be made to the Frontier Animal Society.

Hunt (nee Harrison), Eva

Passed away peacefully at the Grace Village, on January 3, 2017 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of late Clarence Hunt.
Dear mother of Garth and the late Marilyn Bennett. Cherished grandmother of Darin Bennett, Donna MacIver, Jason and Michele Hunt and great grandmother of Ian Carlsen. Eva was the sister of Gwen Wilson, Glenna Smith, Beverly Harrison, the late Violet Dewing and the late Tom Harrison.
A graveside service will be held in the Bury Protestant Cemetery on Saturday May 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Village for the wonderful care given to Eva.

Humphrey, Gordon Frederick
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon Frederick Humphrey on November 24th, 2016.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Irene Porter, his cherished daughters Lana (Dan Taylor), Nancy (Chris McNab), and Norma (Roger Villeneuve), and adored grandsons Michel and Mathieu Villeneuve, and Jacob, Cedric, and Trevor Taylor. His sister Shirley Nutbrown (Harold Nutbrown) and their son Kevin, his sisters-in-law Rita Nugent and Cora Porter and many nieces and nephews.

There will be visitation at the Cass Funeral Home in Lennoxville on Tuesday, November 29th in the evening, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The funeral will be held at Beulah United Church in Ayer’s Cliff on Wednesday, November 30th at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Celiac Association.

Downing, John

Peacefully at the Domaine de La Sapinière, East Angus Que. on Thursday March 5, 2009 at the age of 92 years. John Baptiste Downing beloved husband of the late Mildred Hogan and dear father of Paul (Johanne Lapointe), Stephen (Nathalie Hainz) and the late James (Elaine Boomer). John was the cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Jonathan, Dominic, Erin, Sandra, Jacob, Harrison, Danny, Catherine, Jeremy and Alexandra and also the great-grandfather of Curtis, Derek, Jayden and Jorney. He is survived by his sister Jennie Law. In respect of his wishes cremation was held. No visitation. A graveside service will be held at the Côte des Neiges Cemetery in Montreal Que. At a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke, Que. 819-564-1750 John's family would like to thank the staff at the St. Paul's Rest Home Bury Que. for the wonderful care given to their father.

Demers, Pierre
Passed away peacefully at the C.H.U.S. Fleurimont on Thursday, November 20, 2008, at the age of 37 years. Beloved husband of Julie Richer and cherished father of Marie-Pier, Sabrina and Marc. Loving son of François Demers and Eva Giroux. Dear brother of : Luc (Johanne Fréchette), Jacques (Margerie Légaré) Francis Côté (Isabelle Lefebvre) who he loved as a little brother, and his adopted sister France (Serge Beauvais). Pierre will also be sadly missed by his grandfather Hermann Demers, his mother and father-in-law Rolande and Yvon Richer, his brothers and sisters-in- law: Stéphane, (Julie-Anne Lussier), Caroline (Carlos Dion), Véronique (Dany Guillemette) and Marie-Claude (Yan Mongrain); along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin, Stanstead 819-876-5213/https:/ on Friday, November 28, 2008, where friends may visit from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.. Also on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until departure for the Sacred Heart church at 10:50 a.m. followed by interment in the Saint-Martin Cemetery in Martinville, QC.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Richard Leblanc and the staff of the 7th floor at the C.H.U.S. for the wonderful care given to Pierre. Also, to Dr. Carl Bromwich for guiding him down the new road.

Douglas, Alexander
Passed away at the C.H.U.S. Fleurimont on Sunday, October 26, 2008, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Betty Lou Flanders and cherished father of: Alexander the Third (Nicole), Gordon (Laura) and James (Jean); loving grandfather of Robert and Bradley. Dougy will also be sadly missed by his sisters: Doris, Mary (Rolfe) and Sheila (Robert), along with his nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Passed away on Tuesday June 10th, 2008 in Asbestos, QC, following a battle with cancer, Mrs Norma Day at the age of 77, Beloved wife of 53 years to Allan, and loving mother of Barbara (Stephen Clayton) of Penetanguishene, ON. Special grandmother of Lindsay, Allison and Michael Clayton. A celebration of Norma's life will be held at the Danville-Asbestos Trinity United Church, Danville, on Monday June 16 th at 2 PM with the Rev. Reginald Jennings officiating. Please note; the family will be at the church 1hour prior to the service to receive condolences. Retired employee of Lasco Steel of 35 years, passed away suddenly on Wednesday May 21st., 2008 in his 60th year. Loving husband and best friend of Bonnie (nee Welling), devoted father of Donald Drouin, and Michelle Ballach (Charlie). Beloved Poppy of Braxtyn and Aryss. Dear son of Hazel Drouin and the late Eugene. Brother of Bert Drouin and his wife Maureen. Sadly missed by all relatives and friends. Interment took place on Saturday May 24th, 2008 in the Groveside Cemetery in Whitby, Ontario. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Anna Coletta Dundin, beloved wife of the late Colin Sydney Macleod and dear mother of Margaret (Bruce Bennett) and cherished grandmother of Cheryl (Tony Coulombe) and Kevin (Melanie Noble) and dearest great-grandmother of Ashley, Kaila, Cole and Logan.
