Davidson (Nee Barter), Kathleen

Peacefully at The Wales Home, Richmond, QC, on June 5, 2012 in her 106th year, Beloved wife of the late Raymond Robert Davidson. Dear mother of Peter, John, James and spouses, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, including Molly Mackay. Predeceased by her sisters Doris Montgomery, Frieda Williams and sister-in-law Annie Ruddy. Resting at The St-Paul’s Anglican Church, Marbleton, QC, where friends may call on Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 11am to 12 followed by the funeral service at 12 with Rev Wanda Dillabough officiating. Interment will follow in the St-Paul’s Cemetery, Marbleton. As memorial tributes donations to The Wales Homes Foundation, 506 Rte 243N. Richmond, QC, J0B 2H0 will be gratefully appreciated.

Doherty, Gerard

Gerard Doherty, 87, of Stanstead, passed away at the CSSS Memphremagog, on March 9th 2012. Gerry was born in Bury, Québec, on February 25, 1925. He was the only son of James Doherty and Anna Turcotte. He came to live in Stanstead in his teen years and has resided there ever since. He started working at Charlie Crawford’s Garage and then Fournier’s Garage, until he fulfilled his dream of owning his own business on Dufferin Street. Gerry was by far the best mechanic in the Eastern Townships and customers came from miles away to have their car service by Gerry. He always looked forward to his two weeks vacation when he could take his family on camping trips. His favorite place to camp was Old Orchard Beach, ME. His family was always his main priority. Beloved husband of Gloria Sanschagrin and loving father of Gloriann Stevens of Newport VT, Larry (Ghislaine) from Stanstead, Guy of Newport VT and Jerry from Stanstead. Gerry will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Donna (Joseph) of Elmira NY, Erika (Brian) of Atkinson NH, Nicholas (Sasha) from Stanstead, Casey of Stanstead and Travis from Newport VT; by his great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Joey of Elmira NY; by his sisters, Beatrice (late Pat Nadeau), Geraldine (late Gordon Harrison) and Rita (late Georges Bellavance) and his sisters-in-law Catherine (late Hurbert Goodwin) and Joyce (Luc Martel), along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was the brother of the lateThérèse and brother-in-law of the late Wilfrid and the late Richard Sanschagrin. Funeral service and interment at Crystal Lake Cemetery will be held at a later date. As a tribute to his memory, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 3330 King West Street, Bureau 130, Sherbrooke QC J1L 1C9, would be appreciated by the family.

Dubois, Daniel

It is due to an unfortunate accidental death we are left with just memories and good times. Daniel was loved by everyone and will be dearly missed by numerous friends and especially his family. He had a big heart and enjoyed sports tremendously. He is the cherished son of Lise Lafond and adoring brother of : Sylvain (Angela), Stephan (Tanya), and Jeffrey (Bailey). He will be sadly missed by the mother of his children, Julie Chauvette and was the loving father of Mila and Emrik. He also leaves his nephew Dylan and niece Zoe along with other relatives. There will be visitation at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin, Stanstead 819-876-5213 where friends may visit on Friday, March 2, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00- and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.. A service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, March 3rd at 2:00 p.m. with Father Alfred Thibault officiating. In lieu of flowers, doations will be accepted.

Donaghy Quinn, Alma

QUINN, Alma At the Hôtel-Dieu Hospital, on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the age of 95 years. Alma Donaghy, daughter of the late Ruth Beattie and George Donaghy, beloved wife of the late Osborne Quinn and loving mother of Dale (Lenora) and Diana (Doug Gillam) and cherished grandmother of Douglas and Tamara Quinn, Holly and Crystal Gillam and Jeff Royer and precious great nanny of Rachel Alma Gillam-Lang and Quynn and Anya Gericke-Gillam. Resting at the St. Paul's Anglican Church, 588 Main St. Bury where friends may call on Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 1 to 3 pm followed by the funeral service at 3 pm. Rev. Wanda Dillabough officiating. Interment at the Bury Cemetery at a later date. As memorial tributes, donations to the Pope Memorial In Memorium Fund, c/o Rosemary Lowe, 50 St.Paul St. Bury, QC J0B 1J0 or to the St.Paul's Rest Home, 592 Main St. Bury, QC J0B 1J0 will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

Eastman Lindsay, Evelyn

After a lengthy illness at the Verdun General Hospital on September 28, 2010, in her 83rd year, Evelyn Edith Eastman Lindsay, beloved wife of the late Robert Henry Lindsay and step-mother of Peter and Donald (Tracy) Lindsay. She leaves to mourn her sister-in-law Margaret Eastman (late Lorne). Dear aunt of Duncan(Margaret), Jeffrey(Diane), Jennifer (Richard Taylor), Daniel and Deborah (Richard Jeffries). A Graveside service will be held on Saturday October 16, 2010 at 1:00p.m. at St-Peter’s Cemetery 1045 Prospect St. Sherbrooke, Quebec. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Evelyn may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Arrangements entrusted to Cass Funeral Homes (819) 564-1750

Farley, Ronald

Passed away peacefully after a very valiant fight at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Sherbrooke, QC. on July 18, 2008. Loving husband of Carmen Therrien and cherished father of: Eric of Knowlton, QC., and Krista St. Pierre (Stephen) of Ogden, QC.. Adoring grandfather of: Joshua, Madyson, Mackenzie, Ava, Danika and Jacob. Ron will also be very sadly missed by his sister Diane French, and by his nieces: Kim Watters (Jeff), and Karyn MacPherson (Don) of Windsor, Ont., Kelly Terprestra (Marcel) of Ottawa Ont., and Kerri Lee Jackson (Chris) of Manitouwadge, Ont., his 4 great-nieces, 5 great-nephews, and other relatives and many friends. Ron was born in Newport, Vermont on September 1, 1948 and received his education at Sunnyside School in Rock Island, QC. He was an avid outdoors man who loved camping, hunting, fishing, biking, kayaking, car outings, and walking. He was a member of the Fullerton Hunting and Fishing Wildlife Association, which in his struggle, helped provide many memorable moments with friends. His smile and friendly nature will be missed by all. There will be visitation in the presence of the ashes in the Centenary United Church, Stanstead where friends may visit on Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service with Reverend Catherine Smith officiating. Interment to follow in Crystal Lake Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin, Stanstead, QC. 819-876-5213 “SOAR LIKE AN EAGLE, RON”. Coulombe, Lewis (J.R.)
1940 - 2016

Passed away at the CHUS-Hôtel Dieu on August 22, 2016 in his 76th year. He leaves to mourn his life companion Mary Levasseur, his daughter Lisa Buzzell, his sons Tony, Andy and Lewis Jr. Coulombe as well as his step-children Lynn, Michel, Éric and Julie. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Cass funeral Home, 900, Clough St., Ayer’s Cliff, on Saturday September 3, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. A celebration of life will follow at the funeral home with Rev. Barbara Wintle officiating.

Frappier Daigneault, June

Passed away peacefully at the C.H.U.S. Fleurimont, on Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Richard Daigneault and daughter of the late Lennox Frappier and the late Josephine Walsh. Loving sister of the late Richard Frappier. June will be sadly missed by her brother Thomas (Debbie) as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. There will be visitation in the presence of the ashes at the Cass Funeral Home, 900 Clough, Ayer’s Cliff 819-876-5213 on Monday, May 5, 2008 where friends may visit from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., followed by the service in the funeral home with Reverend Barbara Wintle officiating. Interment to follow in the Ayer’s Cliff Cemetery.

Passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, April 4th 2008 at the age of 30. Beloved only child of Denis Fournier and Sylvia Émond, cherished grandson of Béatha Barrière. Fowler, Gerald

Passed away peacefully at the CHUS Sherbrooke on Thursday September 24th, 2009 at the age of 81. Loving husband of the late Pauline Dow, and dear companion of Ramona Garrett. Gerald also leaves to mourn, his children Charles (Judy), Peter, and Lois (David), his grandchildren Candace, Shanna (Gordon) and Hayley. He is survived by his brothers Roderick (Brenda) and Lewis (Joan), his sisters-in-law Shirley Dow Fowler, and Joseé Fowler, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond (819) 826-2502 , where friends may visit on Sunday September 27th from 7 to 10 PM, and on Monday at the Melbourne Ridge United Church from 12:00 to 2:00PM, followed by the service at 2:00. Interment in the Melbourne Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Fauteux, Karl-Edward

Passed away at the C.H.U.S. Fleurimont in the presence of his loving parents on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at the age of 8 years and 2 months. Precious son of Bruno Fauteux and Susan Gosselin. Cherished brother of Nicolas and dear grandson of :Camille Fauteux (Jocelyne Jean), the late Lise Jobin, Edward and Louise Gosselin; Karl will also be sadly missed by his aunt Line Fauteux Thoin (Daniel), his cousins Bruno Michel and Caroline as well as his aunts and uncles: Marc Gosselin (Eliza), Tina Gosselin (Richard Campbell). Nancy Gosselin (Arty Stone). John Gosselin (Debbie), his cousins: Matthew and Megan Campbell, and Drew Stone. He also leaves many other relatives and friends from the Sunnyside School. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin, Stanstead 819-876-5213 on Sunday, May 10, 2009 where friends may visit from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday May 11, 2009 from 12:00 p.m. until departure for the Sacred Heart Church at 1:45 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., followed by interment in Mont Ste. Marie cemetery. The family wishes to thank the personnel of the C.H.U.S. Fleurimont for the wonderful care given to Karl-Edward and the moral support in the last days of his life.
