Peacefully at the Wales Home on Saturday, February 28th, 2015. Jean Picken French in her 84th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Clinton French. Dear mother to Robert MacKeage (Heidrun) of Bruderheim, Alberta. Eric MacKeage (Donna Harden) of Lennoxville. Special aunt to Paul Wightman (Jill Guthrie), Penny Wightman, Judy Cormier (Simon Preston), Wayne Cormier (Tricia) and Howard Cormier. Dear grandmother to Jessica, Sarah and Ryan. Great aunt to Shawn, Brandon and Melissa. Along with many nieces and nephews. Dear friend to Shirley Sayers. Also late brothers and sisters, Malcolm Picken, Hazel Picken Fleck, Calvin Picken, and Marion Picken Wightman. Survived by her sisters, Anna Picken Ward of Brampton, Ontario and Ruth Picken Cormier of Moosejaw, Saskatchewan. Resting at Cass Funeral Homes, 3006 College Street, Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), where friends may call on Friday, March 13th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held, on Saturday, March 14th, 2015 at 2 pm in the Lennoxville United Church. Rev. James Potter officiating. Interment in the Malvern Cemetery.The family would like to thank the staff at the Manoir St.Francis Lennoxville and the Wales Home Richmond for the wonderful care given to Mrs French.

Panczyszyn, Erika

Peacefully at the CHUS Hotel-Dieu Hospital, on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, in her 92nd year. Erika Panczyszyn beloved wife of the late Tadeusz Panczyszyn and dear mother of Mary-Ruth and Michael (Lucie Pitt) and cherished grandmother of Jamie (Amanda Mcwitter) and their children Emily, Jessica and Austin. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Friday, February 20th, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm and on Saturday, February 21st, 2015 from 9 to10 am follwed by the funeral service at 10 am. Rev James Potter officiating. Interment in the Malvern Cemetery.

Parsons, Judith

Suddenly at the CHUS Fleurimont Hospital, on Friday, December 5, 2014 in her 74th year Judith Ann Parsons passed away with a friend at her side. Judy was the daugther of the late Harvey Parsons and the late Dorothy MacDonald. She was predeceased by her brother Richard and sister-in-law Kay Lawrence. She leaves to mourn her passing a sister-in-law Shirley; nieces and nephews: Danny, Margie, Becky, Tristan, Vicky, Johnny, Josee, Jimmy, Desiree, Antony, Cindy, Joe, Chloe, Riley, Sebastian, Parker and predeceased by Patrick. Judy will also be missed by many cousins and friends. In respect to her wishes there will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in the Riverview Cemetery Scotstown. Judy was a very special lady who will be greatly missed by everyone she ever touched. " Rest in peace Judy"

Perkins MacLean, Margaret

MacLean, Margaret G. (née Perkins) On Sunday, November 9, 2014, Mrs. Margaret MacLean in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Angus H. MacLean and loving mother of Myra, Martha and Megan. Margaret also leaves to mourn her cherished nieces Isabel Moore (Bradley) and Nancy Bernard (Francis), many dear friends, relatives, neighbours and fellow bridge players. At her request, there will be no visitation. A private family service will be held at a later date. Special thanks to Marie-France Bolduc of the CLSC, Dr. Ronald Girard, Trudy Sparkes, Sharon Thompson, Marg Lyons and the excellent staff at the Hotel Dieu for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fondation C.H.U.S. (Palliative Care Unit) or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Laroche Lloyd, Vivian

Passed away at the Coaticook Hospital on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the age of 56 years. Beloved daughter of Alice Luce and the late Dougals Laroche. Loving wife of the late Richard Lloyd and dear mother of Wayne, Dale (Jenny Hamel), Bruce and Gloria (Jean-Marc Dallaire) and dear grandma of Alan and Tiffany Lloyd. Vivian leaves to mourn her sisters Alberta (Daniel Houle), Doreen (Robert Lloyd), Irma (Lynn Spaulding) and Audrey (Bob Dupuis). Sher also leaves to mourn her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home. 15 Station St. Sawyerville, QC on Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 1 to 3 pm followed by the funeral service at 3 pm. Rev. Wendy Evans officiating. Interment in the Eaton Cemetery at a later date.

Lusty, Clarence

Clarence Lusty, a World War two veteran passed away in the presence of his loving family in the Palliative Care Unit of the Magog Hospital on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Marjorie Belknap and cherished father of Jeanne (Dale) and Kathy (Brian Curtis). Dear grandfather of: Paul Dougherty (Cathy), Tania, Christopher Curtis (Nathalie); great-grandpa of Ashley Jacques and Keira Curtis. Clarence will also be sadly missed by other relatives and many friends. A graveside service will be held in May, 2011. The family wishes to express their most sincere appreciation to the staff at Place Sanborn and the personnel on the 3rd floor of the Magog Hospital Palliative Care Unit, along with Dr. Robert Massé and Martine Bergeron for the compassionate care given to their loved one. As a tribute to his memory, donations made to the Crystal Lake Cemetery, 2250 Ch. Curtis, Stanstead, QC. JOB 3E0 would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at the Connaught Home, North Hatley QC on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the age of 86. Betty M. Lee was the loving sister of the late Marjorie Reid and cherished aunt of Stuart and Ian Reid. A time of remembrance will be held at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke at a later date. Betty's wishes for donations in her memory to be made to an animal care society.

Loving wife of the late Percy Frazer, and dear mother of Judy (David Laberee), Bill (Margaret Johnston) and Janet (Wayne McCartney). Beloved Grandma of Karen, Tara and Sean Laberee, Jason and Ryan Frazer, and Sara and Laura McCartney. Marge also leaves to mourn, her 7 great grandchildren along with her nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond, where friends may visit on Wednesday October 1st, 2014 from 1 to 2 PM, followed by a celebration of her life at 2:00PM. Noyes, James Frederick

Suddenly, at the CHUS Fleurimont, QC, on July 22th 2016, James Frederick Noyes passed away in his 72nd year, beloved husband to Jean Cass and son of the late Etta Louise Sutton and the late Reginald Noyes.

Other than his wife, Mr. Noyes leaves to mourn his step-children Kathy Cass (Jean Fluet) and Allen Cass as well as his brothers Brian (Kitty) and Jonathan. He is predeceased by his brother Walter (late Lois). He is survived by his 3 nephews and their families, his lifetime friend Doug Leithead as well as many other relatives and friends from Canada and the United States. He will be missed by his dog Buddy.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Cass funeral Home, 900, Clough St, Ayer’s Cliff, QC, on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A gathering for relatives and friends will also be held at the Wheelock Wood Yard, 1008, Dry Pond Rd, Rte 16, Glover, VT (exit 25 off Rte 91) on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. (bring lawn chairs).

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the caregivers of the cardiac unit at the CHUS – Fleurimont, as well as to the many relatives and friends for their support and kind gestures.

Passed away peacefully at the Wales Home, Richmond QC, on Thursday July 31st 2014, Connie Whittingham in her 102nd year. Loving wife of the late John Whittingham and dear mother of Carol (Mike Steddy) and Barbara (Chuck Moore). Dear Gramma of Martin (Jess), Carolyn (Simon), Jordan, John and Sarah (Phill), Great grandmother of Zoïk, Ékel, Dylan and Myles and sister-in-law of Ruth Gillies. Connie was pre-deceased by her parents Jean Baptiste Provencher and Anna Guay, and also by her sister Jeanne-D’Arc and brother Vincent Provencher. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Visitation will be held at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond, on Saturday September 6th 2014 from 1 to 2 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 2:00 PM with Rev. Eric Lukacs officiating. Interment in St-Andrews Cemetery.

Pearson, Jodie-Lynne

Passed away at the Ottawa General Hospital, on July 10, 2014 at the age of 37. Survived by her father Richard (Céline Fortin). Daughter of the late Joanne Bushey and companion of Mhamed Zouhair Belkhaouda (Simo) and also leaves to mourn her brother Derek (Claudia Duclos) and her lovings nephews Matthew and Shawn. Resting at La Maison Funéraire des Cantons, 951 Haut-Bois S. Sherbrooke (Rock Forest), on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 1 to 2 pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm with Father Doyon officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Patrick Armstrong, Brenda-Pearl

Passed away at the Wales Home, Richmond on Wednesday April 16, 2014 at the age of 94. Pearl was the daughter of the late Ernest Patrick and the late Melissa Dowd. Loving wife of the late James Lorne Armstrong and cherish mother of Dennis (Linda), Lynn (Sharon) and Donna (Mario Jolin). Much loved gramma of Lindsay (Trevor), Derek (Michele), Erik (Monica) and Marie-Lisa and great gramma of Olive, Frederick and Maddox. Dear sister of Marjorie (late Percy Frazer). She also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews and relatives of the family Frazer, Patrick, Armstrong, Blanchette and Kydd. Resting at Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond, on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 1 to 2 pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm. A special thank you to Dr. Natasha Vincent for all her care and compassion throughout the years. Also our gratitute to all the staff at the Wales Home for their kindness and compassion during her stay with them.
