Crawford, Eileen

It is with sadness that the family of Eileen Frances Crawford (nee Jolliffe) of Lennoxville, Quebec announce her peaceful passing at La Maison Aube-Lumiere, Sherbrooke, Quebec on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 in her 87th year.

She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her son, Donald Crawford (Ruth), Hamilton, Ontario; daughters, Joan McMullen, Toronto, Ontario and Marjorie Menard, Ottawa, Ontario; sister, Helen Kirkpatrick, Durham, Ontario; five grandchildren - Sam, Kim, Stephanie, Darcy, Darrell and three great grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Wesley Crawford; her son, James Crawford; her twin sister, Irene and her brothers, Lloyd and Herbert Jolliffe.

Friends and relatives wishing to pay their respects will be greeted by the family Friday, February 10, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Cass Funeral Home, 6 Belvidere Street, Lennoxville, Quebec (564-1750 https:/). The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Cass Funeral Home with Reverend James Potter officiating.

Interment will follow at Malvern Cemetery, Lennoxville, Quebec.

Donations to La Maison Aube-Lumiere, 220 Kennedy Street North, Sherbrooke, Quebec J1E 2E7 would be gratefully appreciated by the family.

Coles, Jamie

Tragically on Tuesday, December 20th, 2005 at the young age of 21, Jamie Judith Coles, dearest daughter of Betty, cherished sister, best friend of Sam, and beloved daughter of Steven Coles. Adoring granddaughter of Ronald Palmer and the late Alice Banks. Jamie is also survived by her loving Aunt Judy and her cousin Kristina Nicoll, her special friend Wade Lassenba and also other family and loyal friends. Visitation at the Cleghorn Room, McGreer Hall at Bishop's University, on Wednesday, December 28th, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Mark's Chapel at Bishop's University on Thursday, December 29th at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Canon Heather Thomson officiating. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Jamie Coles Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Alexander Galt Regional High School, 2700 Rte # 108 East, Lennoxville, QC. J1M 1Z9, will be gratefully acknowledged by her family. Jamie's family would like to extend their appreciation to E.T.F.S., Bishop's, Galt and the local community for their outpouring of support at this time of sadness and loss.

Calloway, Blaine

After a lengthy illness at the C.H.H. Memphremagog, Thursday November 17, 2005, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Annie MacPherson. Predeceased by his daughter Betty. Loving father of Pat, Donald, Roger (Betty), Louise and Russell (Debbie). Blaine will also be very sadly missed by his 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brother and sister, many other relatives and friends. There will be visitation in the presence of the ashes at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin, Stanstead 819-876-5213 / Tuesday, November 22, 2005 from 1:00 to 2:00, followed by the service in the funeral home at 2:00. Reverend Doreen Moffatt officiating. Interment in the Griffin Cemetery.

Cooper, Stanley

Passed away peacefully at La Providence Hospital, Magog, on Sunday November 6th, 2005 with family by his side. Stanley Harold Cooper of Ayer's Cliff in his 87th year. Beloved husband of 57 years of Lois Bliss Cooper. Dear father of James (Heather), Gordon (Marilyn), late Alan, Elaine, Janet and Elizabeth (Luc). Cherished grandfather of Jackie, Mike, Melissa, Matthew, Glenn, Joanna, Bonnie, Laura, Barron, Lesley, Lysanne, Philip, Ashley and Jonathan. Great-grandfather of Acelyn, Douglas, Corinne, Morgan, Alicia and Isabelle. Much loved brother of Marion McIntyre, Muriel Mosher and Dorothy Blake. As a veteran of World War II, in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in his memory be sent to the Royal Canadian Legion Br # 128, Ayer's Cliff, QC J0B-1C0. Visitation at the Cass Funeral Home, 900 Clough St., Ayer's Cliff, on Tuesday, November 8th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A Legion service will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday at 7 p.m. with the funeral service at Beulah United Church, 967 Main St., Ayer's Cliff on Wednesday, November 9th 2005 at 2:00 p.m.. Interment in Crystal Lake Cemetery, Stanstead, QC.

Cleveland Mapes, Doreen

On October 30th 2005, in her 95th year, at the Wales Wome in Richmond, Quebec. Only child of Harmon Leslie Cleveland and Olive Gertrude MacRae. Survived by her husband Horace Mapes; her sons Colin (Barbara) Sangster and Graydon (Cass) Sangster and daughter Elzada (Wendell) Cass; and her stepchildren Janet (Tev) Kahtava, Karen (Dick) Switzer, Stephen (Merissa) Mapes and Bruce (Barbara) Mapes. She was predeceased by her first husband Gordon Sangster (1977] and her youngest son Scott Sangster [2002]. Born in Cowansville, Quebec, Doreen received her early schooling in Cookshire, and graduated from Sherbrooke High School and the Sherbrooke Hospital School of Nursing. Over the years she has been a resident of Cookshire, Sherbrooke and Ste. Catherine de Hatley, Quebec; Ottawa, Ontario; Tucson, Arizona; and since 2003, the Wales Home in Richmond, Quebec. Doreen loved people, demolished her crossword puzzles; had a passion for "Floyd Kramer" and dancing; and was a champion shuffleboard player in the men's league into her late 80s. She will be missed by her husband and children and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of Doreen's life will be held at the Wales Home at10:30 am on Friday November 4th 2005. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate that any in memoriam donations be given to the Foyer Wales Home, 506 route 243 N., Richmond, Quebec J0B 2H0. Peacefully on Tuesday, October 25th 2005, aged 45 years. Beloved wife and loving companion of Dale Cox. Loving mother of Samantha and Jordan. Dear daughter of Nadyne Coombs. Suddenly at her home in Waterville, Quebec on Thursday May 11th 2006 at the age of 82, Mary Jane Cormier, beloved wife of Morris Danforth and dear mother of Shirley (Philip), Vye (Late Robert Roy), David, Late Louise, and Marguerite. She was the cherished grandmother of 28. She is also survived by her three sisters. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 6 Belvidere, Lennoxville 564-1750, https:/, where friends may call on Sunday May 14th from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 pm followed by the funeral service on Monday May 15th at 11 am, with the Rev. Lynda Harrison officiating. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery, Waterville.

Clark Tostevin, Elwilyder

Suddenly at her home in Bury, QC on Sunday, October 2nd 2005, in her 79th year. Elwilyder Clark, beloved wife of the late Thornley Tostevin and loving mother of Reuben Lake (Jackie). She is survived by her brothers Oswald (Clemence), Emerson (late Lilian) and her sisters-in-law Vida (late Deril) and Mariette (late Wildon) and also many nieces and nephews. In respect of her wishes, cremation was held at the Cass / Windsor crematorium, 310 St-Georges St. Windsor, QC. The funeral service will be held at St-Paul's Anglican Church, Bury, QC, on Wednesday, October 5th 2005 at 3 PM with the Rev. Canon Ron West officiating. Interment in the Bury Cemetery. Passed away after a hard battle with cancer, at the Hotel-Dieu Hospital, Sherbrooke, QC on September 30, 2005 at the age of 79 years. Jean Cowan, beloved daughter of the late Andrew Cowan and the late Alberta Nadeau; cherished mother of Louise (Graeme Campbell) of Medicine Hat, Alberta; dear sister of Flora (Arthur Fabre), Dickie (Leon Woodard) and Rita; Jean also leaves to mourn her nieces: Monique (Michel Nadeau) and Josée and nephew Marc and many friends. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 7th 2005 at 3:00PM, in Reedsville Cemetery, North Hatley, QC., with the Rev. Michael Canning officiating. Passed away peacefully at the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu Sherbrooke, Que., on September 21, 2009 at the age of 78 years. Predeceased by her husband Donal Haire, mother of sons, Gordon, Lawrence, Robert, and Ross, grandmother of Selena, Kimberly, Courtney, Thomas and Michelle.
