Washburn Marrotte, Betty

Passed away in the presence of her loving family at the CHUS Fleurimont on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the age of 74. Beloved wife of the late Gordon and cherished mother of: Larry (Bonnie), Laurie, and Steve (Darlene). Loving grandmother of: Christa, Jessica, Eric, Marie, Kyshia, Schuyler (Jessica), and Ayla; Betty will also be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren :Dylan, Sabrina, Shanika, and Chloe along with her sister Ethel and brother Gerald. A service will be held in the Advent Christian Church off Pine St. in Beebe on June 15, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. followed by the burial in Knight’s cemetery. As a tribute to her memory, donations made to the Advent Christian Church c/o Patsy Littler, 2650 Cedarville Rd. Ogden, QC. JOB 3E3 would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Nadeau, Fernand

Passed away at the Residence Château du bel -Age, Windsor QC. in the presence of his loving family on Monday April 8, 2013, at the age of 88. Precious husband of Fernande Trépanier. Son of the late Joseph Nadeau and the late Anna Fortier. Cherished father of: the late Ginette, Francine (Roger Standish), Richard (Danielle DuFresne), Diane (Raphael Francoeur); Fernand will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Josée, Julie, Vicky, David, Philippe, Annie, and Marie-Eve; brother of the late Emilien (Jeanne-Darc), the late Jeanne-Mance (the late Emilien, Anita, Lucille (the late Roger), the late Gaetan (Lucille), and Jacqueline (Charles); he also leaves many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers- in law, cousins and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 900 Clough, Ayer’s Cliff on Friday, April 12, 2013, where family and friends may come to visit from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Also on Saturday, April 13, from 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m., followed by the service in St. Barthelemy Church at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will take place in the St. Barthelemy cemetery.

Passed away at the C.S.S.S. Memphremagog on Monday, May 16, 2011, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of the late Beverley Whipple and cherished father of : Laurie (Tom), Anthony (Kelly), Brady (Suzanne), Therese and Tom; loving grandfather of: Sarina, Chelsey, Kallie-Jo, Brittany, Jacob, Trent, Jordie, Jordan, and Cole. Liney will also be sadly missed by his sister-in-law Elizabeth, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. A graveside service will be held in the Ayer’s Cliff Cemetery on Friday, May 20th, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Curtis Patterson officiating. As a tribute to his memory, donations made to the Palliative Care unit of the C, S.S.S/Memphremagog, 50 St. Patrice Est., Magog, QC. Lessard Falle, Marie Marguerite

Margaret Falle passed away peacefully at the Grace Christian Home on May 7, 2011 at the age of 96. She was the loving daughter of Georges and Lydia Lessard and was predeceased by her husband Clarence and brothers Edward (Greta), Phil (Edith), George (Louise), Geoffrey (Florence), James Guy (Hilma), Warren and sister Rose. ‘’Mom’’ to Wendy Lessard Durrant (Bruce) and ‘’Grandma’’ to Michael (Marita) and Christopher. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephew and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St., Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), 819-564-1750 where friends may visit from 7 – 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 12, with Rev. James Potter officiating. Interment to follow at Hawtherndale Cemetery in Montreal. The family of Margaret would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the Grace Christian Home for the wonderful care given to her. Donations to the Dr. W.J. McLeod, Malcolm

Peacefully at the Hotel Dieu Hospital Sherbrooke QC. On Saturday March 26 2011 at the age of 86. Mac was the beloved husband of the late Joyce Peasley and loving father of Kathy (Marty), Allan (Cindy) and Neil (Francine). He was the cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Michael, Christopher (Jennifer), Jessica, Stephanie (Scott) and Amanda and great grandfather of Logan, Mayson, Kordel and Peyton- Jo. He is survived by his sister Vera Armstrong (Jerry). Resting at the Cass Funeral Home 3006 College St. Sherbrooke QC. where friends may call on Tuesday March 29 2011 from 2-4 AND 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church 256 Queen St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville) on Wednesday March 30 2011 at 2 PM. Rev. John Barry Forsyth officiating. Interment at the Elmwood Cemetery Sherbrooke at a later date. Memorial tributes in Mac’s memory may be made to the St. Andrews' Memorial Fund and will be gratefully acknowledged by the family. MASONS PLEASE NOTE that a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 PM.

Mills, Alton

Passed away peacefully at the CHUS Fleurimont, Sherbrooke, on Wednesday March 16th 2011 at the age of 88. Loving husband of the late Phyllis Morris, and dear father of Donald (Alice), Carol (Jean-Louis Côté) and Wendy (Denis Côté). Alton also leaves to mourn, his 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, and his brother Elmer (late Agnes) along with his nieces, nephews and many friends. A graveside service will be held at St-Andrews Cemetery, Melbourne, in the spring.

Mastine, Howard

Howard Frederick Mastine Passed away peacefully with his family at his side, at the C..H.U.S. Fleurimont, Sherbrooke, QC on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the age of 84. Loving husband of Klea Wentworth-Miller and the late Velma Hebert. Dear father of Linda (Robert Brighten), Wanda (Wilton Moreland), Brian (Francine Roy) and Peter (Josée Lachapelle). Grandfather of nine grandchildren and of four great-grandchildren. Step-dad of Klea's family, Robert Miller, Brian and Carol Miller, Kent Miller, and Christy (Kevin Lummerding). Survived by his sister Jean (Harold Keough), his sisters-in-law Blanche (late Nelson Mastine) and Pricilla (late Clarence Wentworth), his brother-in-law Robert Hebert (Myrna), and sisters-in-law Shirley (late William Nelson) and Gail (Peter Hill). Respecting his wishes, he will be cremated, followed by a graveside service and interment in Ste-Bibiane Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements entrusted to the Cass Funeral Home, Richmond.

Passed away peacefully at the Wales Home, on Saturday, April 18, 2015, Ross Nixon at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Alleda Johnston, and dear father of Gloria, Douglas (Charlotte), Anne (Toby Knowles), Lucy, Lois Nola (Ray Morrison), Tim and of the late Rodney Nixon. Ross also leaves to mourn his 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, his sister Gladys Bowden, along with his niece and nephew, many other relatives and friends. 1923 - 2015 Peacefully at the Wales Home in Cleveland, October 28th, 2015, with her husband by her side, passed Evelyn Baldwin, daughter of the late Fred and Caroline Rowe. She leaves to mourn her husband of 70 years, W. Keith Baldwin, formerly of Lennoxville. She will be sadly missed by her children Bill (April Langstaff), David (Carolyn Rowell), Nancy (Allan Rowell), and Dale (Linda Salladay). She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: W. Keith (Cara), Dustin (Buffy), Chadwick (Irish), Colin, Jori (Craig Adams), Oliver (Roselyne Bourgault-Gervais), and Emily Baldwin, Barbara (Andrew Hopkins) and Thomas (Christina Ranieri) Rowell and great-grandchildren Taryn, Samantha, Joshua, Gabriel, Clara, and Elsie. She is survived by her sister-in-laws Eunice Baldwin and Cecile Lefevre (the late Richard Baldwin) and brother-in-law Lester Baldwin (Jacqueline Peloquin). She was predeceased by her brother Stan (the late Peggy McNaughten) and her brother-in-laws Elvyn Baldwin (the late Jane Ross), Richard Baldwin (Cecile Lefevre) and her sister-in-laws Ruby Baldwin Racicot, Alice Baldwin Corey. She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 10 am to 11 am at the Lennoxville United Church, 6 Church St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), followed by the the funeral service at 11 am. Rev. Nutbrown Matheson, Gloria

Peacefully at the Argyll Pavillion, Sherbrooke, QC, on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the age of 84. Gloria Jean Nutbrown, beloved wife of the late Lachlan Matheson. Gloria was the loving mother of Raymond (France Raymond), Jessie (Dale Palasty), Stella, Jean and Norma (Glenn Magee). She was the cherished grandmother of Carol (Rene), Kevin, Scott (Lori), Christa, Jade, Kyle and two great grandchildren Joshua and Emma. She is survived by her sister Arlene (late Russell Rothney) and brothers Russell (late Joan) and Wayne (Louise) and was predeceased by her sister Phyllis (late Kurt Robichaud). She leaves also to mourn many nieces, nephews and many friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville) on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the St-Andrews Presbyterian Church, Lennoxville, on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. Rev. John Berry Forsyth officiating. Interment in the Malvern Cemetery. Robertson, Frederick

On October 12, 2015, Fred peacefully left this world to be with his Heavenly Father. He will be forever missed by his wife Gardenia; his two daughters: Tami (Glen) and Tara (Scott); his grandchildren: Madina (Casey), Maurice and Mirko; as well as many family members and friends. A memorial service to honour Fred's life will held on Saturday, October 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Christ Church, 550 Dufferin, Stanstead, Quebec, followed by a reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ Church, Stanstead.

Ridley, Dennis

(1945-2015) It is with immense sorrow that the family of Dennis Ridley announces his death on June 22, 2015 in Richmond, Quebec. He is survived by his wife of 22 years Wendy Ridley (nee Wraight); his children Deanna (Dave), Darrell (Chandra), Don (Angela), Diana (Philippe), Amanda; and the true joy of his life, his grandchildren Shayne, Bryanna, Emily, Isabella, Gabriel, Grayson, Logan, Patrick and Liam. Also among the mourning are his siblings Terry (Pat), Everett (Cheryl), Brian, Gerald (Alice), Gary, Kevin (Claudette), Larry (the late Claudette), Donald (Susie), Dolly (Peter), Wayne, Charleen (Jeffery), Colleen (Garry), and Rory (Kelley), along with many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him for his kind, loving, teasing nature and his great stories. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 4 2015 at Cass Funeral Homes (295 Principale Sud, Richmond, QC) from 11 am to 1 pm. A celebration of his life will follow at 1 pm at St. Anne’s Church, Richmond, QC.

Roy Maver, Jacqueline

1936-2015 Passed away at the CHUS Hotel-Dieu, Sherbrooke, on May 2, 2015 at the age of 79. She was born in St-Georges de Windsor. Jacqueline was the daughter of the late Albert Roy and the late Rose Delima Morency. She leaves to mourn her daughter Jo-Anne LaCHapelle from her first marriage and her second husband the late Robert Maver, her step son Kenneth Maver, step daughter Katherine Maver Browne (Ray Browne), her grandsons Rob and Mike Maver, Andrew and Sean Browne. She also leaves to mourn her brothers and sisters Paul-Émile Roy (Diane Roy), Fernand Roy (Carmen Houle), Francine Roy-Vallée (Pierre Vallée), Nicole Roy, along with her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 9 to 11:00 am for a celebration of her life. The family would like to thank the staff at the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu Intensif Care Unit for the excellent care given to Jacqueline.
